Taterd Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Fella's AIM-54 is selected and radar is locked on a target at 20 miles out or so but misile is not launching. What am I doing wrong? How far out does the AIM-54 reach in this game?

Taterd Posted May 7, 2011 Author Posted May 7, 2011 Thanks my friend you have helped me before! If I can reach out and touch someone at 100 miles I should lock on the target (I think the key is home) then hit insert key to go into track mode. Then let it fly correct! Bobby About 100 nautical miles.

Bobby Once the missile leaves the rails, it will climb to altitude, and acquire the target on its own, you can then designate another target and fire another Phoenix at it. I have a video somewhere of exactly that....
turkeydriver Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 You have a target selected in TWS mode, but youre not locked-its a different command in the game. Once the target locks-itll switch to STT mode and you can send an AIM-54 at him from a tail chase 5 miles away or 100 plus head on provided you can get a lock.
