JaguarXK Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Hello, I have some questions about SF mods: 1) Some mods ask for a service pack 4 installed but at the official site they have up to service pack 3, it is included on Strike Fighters Project 1 Oct 2008 Update? 2) How to create missions to add them in a campaing? at http://combatace.com/forum/194-creating-single-missions/ is not explained. 3) How to use russian planes for each stand alone game?, there are tutorials on how to do it but I wonder if anyone already did them, at the download site there are a lot of planes and cockpits but I dont know wich one work for each game or if they are added but in the same side. +MigBuster Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 1. TW changed the naming convention for patches and services packs about 4 years back - anyway SP4 was v01-15-06 (15th Jan 2006) so pretty old. The mod was created at that time and there were a lot of changes to the game between then and 2008 so cant say if it would work in the latest 2008 without making changes to it. 2. User created single missions will only work in the load single mission tab - they cannot be used in campaigns. Campaigns use a dynamic engine to randomly generate missions based on certain criteria. You can create Campaigns - but this does not include defining missions for it. Quote

Ok, how to create single missions? Quote
+MigBuster Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 In SF1 there is no in game mission editor - so you need to use Notepad. You should have some mission (.msn) files in the missions folder (e.g. C:\GAMES\WOV\Missions) Copy one, open it in notepad and see what you can do. There were some 3rd party mission editors in the download section also that you could try. Quote
Romflyer Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 From the main menu if you choose single mission then you can define the perameters of your single mission (aircraft, mission type, weather,etc.etc.) and the game will create a random mission using your perameters.......if you want to create a scripted mission and have control over all of the parts of the mission then you should get either of the two mission editors available (see links below)........once you have used the mission edtor to design a mission then as Migbuster said you can start your mission using the Load mission tab instead of the Create Mission tab in the single mission menu. Good luck and welcome to Combat Ace PS. both of these mission editors have seperate download tutorials.....get them.
