Just found these French postcards from 1900 onwards.

You just click on the links, like for Amiens: "706 cartes postales", and you will get pages of pictures

showing life in France at the time of short before, during, and after the Great War.

 

Many of them show the French way of life back in that time so peacefully,

that it is hard to imagine, that the first world war was about to begin.

 

The chosen picture is showing the St. Leu church and the Somme at Amiens.

Guess I know what you mean. Yeah, our devious ways of expressing ourselves...

A "Pariser" is not necessarily a citizen of Paris...
