paulopanz Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 As I'm toyng with some ships (even some big ones like carriers) I noted that the relative camera (F7) is setted very next to groundoject (assuming it'a tank or a truck .....) and the zoom away is very short, so we can't look at well at our navy! It seemed that somewhere one of our expert teachers (the Wrench?) made something about zoom and camera position but I wasn't able to find. Could anyone have some clue? Thanks in advance. Paul Quote
paulopanz Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 viewlist.ini Ok there I was arrived. But no luck trying to tweak some parameters, which are relevant to set initial position farter and to extend the zoomout? Thanks. Quote
Stary Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Paulo, sorry for incomlete previous post, try adjusting these values: [ViewClass009] ViewClassName=TargetViewClass ViewType=TARGET_VIEW ViewGroupID=2 DefaultView=CockpitFront AllowFromDiffGroup=TRUE SnapView=FALSE InsideView=FALSE FocusObjectOnly=TRUE FOV=45.0 ObjectDistance=40.0 PitchControl= YawControl= RollControl= ZoomControl=CAMERA_ZOOM_CONTROL JumpToViewSameGroup=TRUE JumpToViewDiffGroup=TRUE SmoothAngleTransition=FALSE SmoothPositionTransition=FALSE SmoothFOVTransition=FALSE RememberAngle=FALSE RememberPosition=FALSE RememberFOV=FALSE LimitPitch=FALSE LimitYaw=FALSE LimitRoll=FALSE ZoomFOV=FALSE ZoomScale=0.02 PanScale=0.00140 MinSpeed=100.0 MaxSpeed=50000.0 Acceleration=10000.0 AngleRates=720.0,600.0,600.0 FOVRate=60.0 MinObjectDistance=10.0 MaxObjectDistance=100.0 OffsetDistance=0.0 MinFOV=15.0 MaxFOV=90.0 ResetTime=2.5 distance values are in meters Quote
Stary Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 ObjectDistance=40.0 this is the default value for all target type objects Quote
paulopanz Posted November 30, 2011 Author Posted November 30, 2011 Well I tried this [ViewClass009] ViewClassName=TargetViewClass ViewType=TARGET_VIEW ViewGroupID=2 DefaultView=CockpitFront AllowFromDiffGroup=TRUE SnapView=FALSE InsideView=FALSE FocusObjectOnly=TRUE FOV=45.0 ObjectDistance=40.0 PitchControl= YawControl= RollControl= ZoomControl=CAMERA_ZOOM_CONTROL JumpToViewSameGroup=TRUE JumpToViewDiffGroup=TRUE SmoothAngleTransition=FALSE SmoothPositionTransition=FALSE SmoothFOVTransition=FALSE RememberAngle=FALSE RememberPosition=FALSE RememberFOV=FALSE LimitPitch=FALSE LimitYaw=FALSE LimitRoll=FALSE ZoomFOV=FALSE ZoomScale=0.02 PanScale=0.00140 MinSpeed=100.0 MaxSpeed=50000.0 Acceleration=10000.0 AngleRates=720.0,600.0,20.0 FOVRate=60.0 MinObjectDistance=10.0 MaxObjectDistance=100000.0 <------------------ OffsetDistance=0.0 MinFOV=15.0 MaxFOV=90000.0 <------------------------- ResetTime=2.5 But no luck! [the viewlist.ini is in flight folder .... I presume] Quote
Stary Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 MaxFOV= shouldn't be much more than 120 I guess... I think I gave you wrong view class, try this one: [ViewClass010] ViewClassName=TacticalViewClass ViewType=TACTICAL_VIEW ViewGroupID=3 DefaultView=ObjectView AllowFromDiffGroup=TRUE SnapView=FALSE InsideView=FALSE FocusObjectOnly=TRUE FOV=45.0 PitchControl= YawControl= RollControl= ZoomControl=CAMERA_ZOOM_CONTROL JumpToViewSameGroup=TRUE JumpToViewDiffGroup=TRUE SmoothAngleTransition=FALSE SmoothPositionTransition=FALSE SmoothFOVTransition=TRUE RememberAngle=FALSE RememberFOV=FALSE LimitPitch=FALSE LimitYaw=FALSE LimitRoll=FALSE ZoomFOV=TRUE ZoomScale=0.01 PanScale=0.00160 MinSpeed=100.0 MaxSpeed=10000.0 Acceleration=2000.0 AngleRates=480.0,360.0,360.0 FOVRate=60.0 MinFOV=15.0 MaxFOV=90.0 ResetTime=2.5 Quote
Stary Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 hmm will have to test myself after work Quote
SkateZilla Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 A. Save The Viewlist.ini to the user Mods Folder: -Win7 /Users/<UserName>/Saved Games/Thirdwire/<StrikeFighers2 Game Folder>/Flight/ -WinXP /Documents And Settings/<UserName>/My Documents/Thirdwire/,StrikeFighters2 Game Folder>/Flight/ B. Im Pretty Sure to Zoom Out Farther on a large Target (ie Carrier) you might have to edit some values in the Object's data file too. C. F7 View is not the Target View, its Ground Object View (Similar to F6) D. I dont think chaning the FOV Value will do anything w/ the zoom., Should Be Zoom/MaxExtent Values, Also Check Max Extent Values of the Ground object. Quote
