Damage/Hit Sounds

Hi all,

 

I was wondering if anybody can actually "hear" when their aircraft has been hit. I have played around with the hit sounds, trying to make them louder, changing them to something else, and using stock ones. It's really annoying flying around not knowing you have been hit by an AIM-9 or flack or something. I also looked into the SOUNDLIST.INI for answers and played around with it but to no avail.
