dare2 Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I have enjoyed this game so far and try to figure some ways to improve it. One little detail, to me the wingmen are far from being as efficient as they would be in real life, i take for reference the numerous videos i use for learning tactics on my favorite type (The magnificnat F-8), mostly the Youtube Serie, Dogfights: Last Gunfighter : Dick Schaffert - Part 1 of 2, which is great top learn tactics, the F-8 strength and weaknesses as well as those of the adversary Dogfights: Last Gunfighter : Dick Schaffert - Part 1 of 2 ... What i would suggest is a mode where one must progress from the rank of Ltn, as No 4, up to Major as Number one in a complete wing, i think the wingmen needs very specific flying, tactic and radio skills to get there and i'd love to be able to fly formation and have a reactive leader (radio calls). If you think this is possible please elaborate... Regards to all and Happy New Year. Dare2 Quote

dare2 Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 AH! You mean like European Air War. SidDogg I don't know, it is just an idea, i keep loosing wingmen and sometimes get little cover from them, they warn me though, so i figured i would be better flying as a winglam myself and earn my wings/... +JonathanRL Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I would also like a mode like this. Would make the campaigns feel progressive. Quote
+PureBlue Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 (edited) You use to be able to fly as wingman or section leader, on a custom mission. This variable in the MSN mission files controlled it: PlayerPositionID=1 Not much changed in game mechanics or radio calls, but you would get to fly formation and try to keep up with the leader. And if the mission was setup good, it would be tough but fun. For example some YAP1 missions.. But this seems to be broken for a while. No matter what you set it to, you fly as number 1.
