Hauksbee Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I found this whilst poking around on YouTube for good air combat videos. I've been thinking lately about how Dr.1's and Camels would fare against each other; they were both very maneuverable with short fuselages that allowed for quick snap turns. In this clip, the Camel wins out. Maybe because a human flew it against an AI Dr.1, but what I found most interesting is that the Camel only gets off extremely short bursts. Eventually, enough rounds land on target. But it wasn't easy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuSUoCJJY44&feature=fvsr Quote
blackbaron427 Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) those Dr 1's are hard to hit, and the AI's are good appoinets. Edited January 2, 2012 by blackbaron427 Quote
themightysrc Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I noticed that the human flyer wasn't making the most of the Camel's quick turning characteristics, and the AI pilot just seemed to chuck the DR1 about almost at random! I'm not actually surprised that it took him a while to do the job, I'm just surprised that the AI was quite so random... YMMV! Quote
