Replacing "GreenFilter" on Displays with Grey/White "Thermal Image" style filter?

Hi all, the current Display filter is the GreenFilter.bmp which gives displays a mid 80's/90's green monochrome look. In most modern 4th Gen A/C colour displays are used which is also modelled in-game (by removing Greenfilter by making Filter=False) but Laser Pods tend to be used in IR (thermnal Imaging) mode even during daylight so is there anyway to replicate this grey/white LP display in-game?

 

I've tried making a Grey version of the greenfilter instead but it either has no really effect or makes the picture so dark it's not usable (whereas the Greenfilter is very bright).

 

Any ideas?
