I just uploaded a new Dogfight pack here at Biohaz

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to let you know that I uploaded a new 24 mission pack here at BIOHAZ.

These missions are somewhat challenging (because of the Lock On AI) and the way I found to win was to ALT-J (jump) between cockpits as soon as I expanded my AAM . Later on I will post some more info about the pack - and some hints about how to win the dogfights.

DoGFight SU-33 F-15 MiG-29 MISSION PACK v2

WITH 24 MISSIONS

These missions start early in the morning and end in the twilight hours of that same day.

It is a hot day - temperatures are rising and a storm is expected later in the day.

BRIEFING:

---------------------------------

In the NATO pack you will deploy at KRASNYI KURGAN AFB near the town of ANAPA –

you will try to resist sustained Russian attacks against your positions.

You can choose to fly each mission on the F-15 Eagle or on the Su-27 Flanker or the MiG-29A/S

In the Russian Pack you will try to kick out NATO/UKR forces deployed near ANAPA -

you will deploy at BAGEROVO AFB near the city of KERCH’.

You can choose to fly each mission on  the Su-27/33 Flanker or the MiG-29A/S

Mission Scenarios:

These twelve missions form a campaign - they should be played in sequence.

Each mission takes places in an environment of layered SAM/AAA sites.

Both Air Bases are well defended and in some missions, Frigates add SAM coverage to your forces.

Enemy strike forces have fighter escort and Ground alert fighters will react if you stray near their Airbases.

Enemy fighters are tasked to shoot you down, but they may ignore you and go after the AWACS.

Mission Goals:

In these missions you will have to escort strike forces and defend your Air base against sustained attack.

SKILL:

enemy and friendly AI is rated excellent.

Here is a sample of what can you expect if you fly these missions.

You and your opponents face a dense layered SAM umbrella made of low, medium and high SAM sites each providing some support to each other, so you can expect to be targeted by more than one system at the same time.

All missions in this pack have this enemy and friendly SAM environment.

MISSION%20STRUCTURE.jpg

So, if an enemy fighter tries to shoot down your AWACS, chances are that he may be shot down by one of many SAM sites that are defending your forces.

You face GAI (ground alert interceptors) and CAP tasked fighters – they are launched in waves and most missions have at least two waves of them, a few have three.

When you escort an attack package, it always will have SAM suppression fighters attached to it, so will the enemy strike forces.

If your Air Base is being attacked, you have to choose if you want to let the enemy strike forces decimate your SAM belt while you engage the fighters, or you rather kill as many of them as you can before turning on the fighters, this way keeping most of your SAM forces intact.

So, enemy forces are very strong, but not overwhelming – and your wingmen are there to help you. Jump as soon as you can after firing your AAM between your cockpit and those of your wingmen and your chances of wining will increase.

LOADOUT.jpg

I changed the loadout of the UKR RUS Su-27 and Su-33 with LOPE so they can have the R-77 missile available - it makes for a more enjoyable mission in my opinion.
