B52STRATO Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Sunday a Fokker Dr.1 replica (reg. F-AZAO) crashed at the Couhé-Vérac meeting, costing the life of his pilot, during a combat demonstration. A stall could be the cause of this drame according to the witnesses on the ground. It's always the best who leave first.
Capitaine Vengeur Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 I wonder when was the last pilot before to die flying a Dreidecker? RIP to the man...
B52STRATO Posted July 23, 2012 Author Posted July 23, 2012 May the most recent was the one involving a replica in Canada, something like a year ago. But I don't think it was a lethal accident. Anyway some of the XXth century last years were bad for this type of aircraft.
