Toryu Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 (edited) A very cool video. There's also a cool anecdote of Bill Odenga (sp?) doing a rolling-spree at 6ft (yes, six) over some british airfield in the 60s. When told to "F.off!!!", he answered "say again!" I also like this one: Low level, baby! NOTE: The take-offs don't just appear to be fast. In the "four-tanker" configuration, lift-off speeds would be at around 230KIAS! That's quite hot, as max tyre speed is at around 240KIAS and max gear-transit speed is 260KIAS! Edited October 18, 2012 by Toryu 1
Derk Posted October 18, 2012 Author Posted October 18, 2012 (edited) Ha, ha, famous pilots too... Leo van den Born retired from the KLu in 2007 as a Major General , having flown NF 5, F 104G and F 16's, further jobs included Det. Com Villafranca during Deny Flight over Yugoslavia, base commander and Dep. Co. ISAF, so in the end everything turned OK after the wild Sardinian weekend... As for the Belgians, Bill Ongena was a living legend too... Edited October 18, 2012 by Derk
