IIRC due to the very low seating position on real Tornados the model suffered from "double Cockpits" (where you get both the 3D model cockpit and 3d Cockpit visible) when it was in the proper position. The only way to get rid of that was to move the 3D cockpit away from the 3D model and restrict the viewing arcs from the cockpit so, as designed, you can't look back like your view above which meant that the only way you could tell that your were sat too high was looking in the mirrors.

It's something I've always wanted to correct but each method we tried also caused graphics issues, i.e with the cockpit in the right position if you make the 3D models nose not visible from the 3D cockpit (to remove the double cockpits) then the mirrors showed half your plane missing etc. We had the same issue with the TSR2 pack (also used Tonka cockpit) and in the end we removed the mirrors so is something we could try again. I'll have another bash at next week though as I would like to sort it.
