Problem with B-1B wingman

I've recently noticed a strange thing involving the B-1B and using tab/wingman/attack my target. Whenever I command my wingman to attack a target the game freezes and then fails. No other aircraft has this problem in any version of SF2. Any ideas on what's going on?

I've noticed this on some large aircraft before, and I believe it's to do with having the aircraft_role set to "bomber" (in the data.ini). The game treats bombers separately with regard to formations, and I guess therefore the comms menu as well. As there are no stock flyable bombers this does make some sense. I'm afraid I don't know of a solution other than not issuing wingman commands when flying bombers. I presume you could change the aircraft role, but you'd also need to alter the formation.ini due to the size of the B-1.

take 2 wingmen or whatever is the min number ion the formation ini, its usually 3

then check if the game goes freeze or CTD

can also happen after the rejoin command
