ThunderCloud Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I'm using SF2 NA patched to July 2013. I always used the mission editor that comes with the game and never had a problem with it, but today when I tried to build a mission like I always do, I got this: Well, I don't know what the hell happened, there are no mods conflicting with the game. Can someone explain? It's a bit annoying because it also won't let me load the default missions form the game to play. The loading screen freezes at 40%.
Peugeot205 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Have you already used the editor with the July 2013 path? , or the problems you are getting comes since you have update the game?
ThunderCloud Posted October 28, 2013 Author Posted October 28, 2013 I've always used the patched editor since I installed the game. Just now I had the problem.
Peugeot205 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I mean, had you already used the editor with the July 2013 path?
ignacioc91 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 You can try the following: Make a backup of your mod folder, and then delete it. Start SFNA, and try the mission editor. If it worked, it is possible that your problem is related to aconflict with some of your mods. If it keeps like that, try reinstalling it. Good luck!
ThunderCloud Posted October 28, 2013 Author Posted October 28, 2013 After trying reinstalls and backups, I've finally found out that my anti virus was recognizing the missioneditor.dll as a virus. Damn it.
Peugeot205 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 After trying reinstalls and backups, I've finally found out that my anti virus was recognizing the missioneditor.dll as a virus. Damn it. Nice, yesterday some guys here had a similar problem with that kind of programs.
ThunderCloud Posted October 29, 2013 Author Posted October 29, 2013 Thankfully I didn't lose all my mods. I just had to uninstall the bugger and put in another anti-virus program. It's working like a charm now. Thanks for the advices.
jeanba Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 If you use avast, check here : http://combatace.com/topic/80293-and-so-sf2-decided-to-crash/ I had the same problem when I updated my install (july 2013) : avast quarantined the mission editor dll
