in answer to your PM (which got deleted!), it only reads ANSI. need to convert from Unicode, but I guess you figured that out??

Lol I tried to delete it before you read it. I already changed it. Now it works. I spent the whole day figuring out the TFD tool. It's great! I can place new tiles and airfields now. I also figured out how to manipulate the height field too. Lots of plans now. Larger bomber fields is one (without those nice tall trees as borders!)
