stingray77 Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Every now and then I find, that the file endings of my hangar- and loading-files in the aircraft.ini's get overwritten... What was .jpg previously is .bmp then and vice versa... I have to manually go through all the aircraft .ini's and check and correct. Veeery time consuming. I have no clue what triggers this. Btw: I am running SF2V with the Expansion Pack Gold on v 2.1 and SF2NA (more or less bare) on a merged install... Any hints, maybe? Thanks Quote
MigBuster Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 The game will overwrite the inis when you install a patch - but I normally take out the whole mod folder before patching. I have only ever seen it replace the ini with the default though If its doing it randomly then - copy the entire mod folder and put it somewhere safe. Delete options.ini and version.ini from the mod folder run the game and let it create those files again put mod folders back - but dont overwrite options/versions.ini Quote
stingray77 Posted April 23, 2014 Author Posted April 23, 2014 Hm, I haven't patched for quite a while - and, yes, I saved another "back-up" of my mod-folder right after finishing my "repairs"... I will give your advice (recreating a plain mod-folder, overwriting all but options.ini and version.ini with the back up) another try the next time, I run into this - well worth it. Thanks a lot.
