hawker111 Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Hello, I extracted the "F-4E_COCKPIT" file from WOV, and I have a few questions: [CockpitSeat001] ModelName=f-4e_cockpit Position=0.0,5.500,0.658 ViewAngles=0.0,-2.0,0.0 MaxYaw=152 MinYaw=-152 MaxPitch=90 MinPitchFront=-47 MinPitchRear=-35 1) What do I need to change to zoom the cockpit forward and backward? 2) What do I need to change if I want to shift the cockpit to the left or right (not turning it, but just shifting it over so that the panel stays straight but is shifted over so that the hud display is no longer centered on the screen)? 3) After I save the file, where do I place the "F-4E_COCKPIT" file? Thanks very much for the help! Hawker111 Quote
+RAVEN Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Zooming the view is done with the mouse and should be functional in a stock game. Check your Options in game. Position=0.0,5.500,0.658 is center Position=-01.00,5.500,0.658 is 1 meter to the left. Position=01.00,5.500,0.658 is 1 meter to the right. The file goes in the f-4e Aircraft folder Objects/Aircraft/f-4e Quote
hawker111 Posted December 7, 2014 Author Posted December 7, 2014 Thanks Raven . . . So there is no way to change the default zoom position by changing numbers in the file? The only way to zoom out or zoom in is with the scrollwheel while flying the aircraft? It would be nice to be able to zoom in a little more and keep it as the default zoom setting. Quote
hawker111 Posted December 7, 2014 Author Posted December 7, 2014 I changed positioning in the file to: Position=800.0,800.0,800.0 ViewAngles=20.20,10.15,50.5 But when I fly the F-4E the positioning didn't change. I changed: GunsightMilSize=0 And the gun sight is no longer on the hud, so that's working . . . don't know why the positioning is not changing. Quote
+RAVEN Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 (edited) Small mistake by me. [CockpitSeat001]ModelName=f-4e_cockpitPosition=0.0,5.500,0.658 <---------------------Leave Stock. Offset=-0.20,0.0,0.0 <--------------------------- Offset value, need to add. Negative Number will move 'your' veiw to the Left.ViewAngles=0.0,-2.0,0.0MaxYaw=152MinYaw=-152MaxPitch=90MinPitchFront=-47MinPitchRear=-35 You Can Offset your view Position by changining any of the values in Offset= Strike Fighters uses a X ,Y, Z coordinateWhere: X is the wingtip to wingtip dimension (- = left, + = right)Y is the nose to tail dimension (- = back, + = front)Z is the top to bottom dimension (- = bottom, + = top) Edited December 7, 2014 by RAVEN Quote

Thanks Raven for your help! Edited December 7, 2014 by hawker111 Quote
