I have recently downloaded and installed Google Chrome, everything is fine except for an express browser bar which has appeared at the top of my desktop screen. Try as I might I can't get rid of the dammed thing as it interferes with with any screen which you subsequently open at the desktop. Any one got any idea how to get rid of this dammed thing. I have been all through the settings and can't seem to de-activate it. Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

It's probably not Chrome, it's likely something you downloaded with it. Did you get Chrome direct from Google or from somewhere else?

Go to your Programs and Features or Add/Remove Programs or whatever it's called in your version of Windows. Sort by date installed with newest on top. Look for what was installed on the same day you installed Chrome. Uninstall whatever you see there that is NOT Chrome or what you want.

For those of you who encounter the same problem I got rid of the web browser bar by removing a program called WEB BAR which actually came with the Chrome download.

Problem solved.

Thanks for the advice Jedi Master I thought it was a settings issue.  :good:  :good:  :good:
