skyknight0721 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Hello, I have bought and downloaded the Mirage IIIO from Thirdwire site. I have installed it so it has become part of the stock aircraft. I have also downloaded the Saab 37 Viggen from The A-Team Skunkworks which I like very much but I wanted to change the cockpit since I feel that the Mirage IIIO's cockpit is more similar to the real pit of the older variants of the Viggen than the one provided with mod. So my question is how do I change that pit to that of the Mirage IIIO which I have installed? Quote
manukar Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Open your mod folder, then "Objects", then "Aircraft", and then the Viggen Folder. With the notepad open the file "JA-37.ini" . Then modify the following lines to look like this: CockpitDataFile=Mirage3OF_cockpit.INI AvionicsDLL=Avionics60.DLL AvionicsDataFilename=Mirage3OF_avionics.INI Save the file. 1 Quote

manukar Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I have tested it myself, and the mirage IIIO seat postion is way to low. Edit the seat position is harder. I will try to do it, and then gonna tell you. 1 Quote
Wrench Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 but you will also need to extract the Mirage's cockpit ini, place it INTO the Viggen's folder, and adjust the cockpit position. Because I can garuntee that the position (relative to the physical aircraft) will be different Quote
Wrench Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 [CockpitSeat001]ModelName=Mirage_IIIO_pit.LODOffset=0.0,0.0,0.0Position=0.0,3.75,0.53 <--------------- this will need adjustingViewAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 Quote
manukar Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) Already tried that and didnt worked(at least for me). Its easier to simply turn off the visibility of the fuselage and nose. Open the data.ini (xxxxx_data.ini; xxxx=name of the plane) Under the [Fuselage] section change: ShowFromCockpit=TRUE to: ShowFromCockpit=FALSE Do the same under the [Nose] section. skyknight0721 Posted June 12, 2015 Author Posted June 12, 2015 [CockpitSeat001] ModelName=Mirage_IIIO_pit.LOD Offset=0.0,0.0,0.0 Position=0.0,3.75,0.53 <--------------- this will need adjusting ViewAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 Thanks I will give this a try Wrench I bumped myself into a cockpit that doesn't allow me to see what's in front of me. Already tried that and didnt worked(at least for me). And if I can't work out Wrench's solution I will turn it off. Thanks again everyone who is helping me. :) Quote
Wrench Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Already tried that and didnt worked(at least for me). then, you're not doing something right. ----- actually, the F-105D_66 pit would be a better fit. That's what I've been using on mine since 2012. The only thing I had to "turn off" was a tweek to not show the canopy frame, via a cockpit ini edit. Quote

I have encountered the same problems as manukar when trying to reposition the seats. I will try the F-105D cockpit, I know the Draken mod have them too. But truth be told I hope one day we'll get a proper pit for both the Draken and Viggen. Quote
