Kermie Cam - Albatros D.II

Kermit Weeks (Owner of the FANTASY OF FLIGHT-Museum, Florida) got replicas

of the Albatros D.II and the D.Va, built by THE VINTAGE AVIATOR, New Zealand.

Weeks does in-cockpit videos with his "Kermie Cam", so we can share his

joyrides on many great combat aircraft. For all who missed it yet - enjoy!

Cool videos, but I could wish that they wouldn't use that high distortion 'fish-eye' lens. It makes the beautiful Albatros look like it was drawn by Doctor Suess.

Yeah, not sure if he could also use a "normal" lense camera, Hauksbee - and why he uses this one.

GASCAN, the engine is also a replica built by THE VINTAGE AVIATOR.

They took an original MERCEDES engine apart and reproduced every part of it.

That way they were able to build 3 or 4 Albatros D.Va, and 1 Albatros D.II so far.

Here is a link - take the time and check out all their pages - there is so much to see!

Tony, I found a great video filmed in the cockpit during takeoff and flight of a Mosquito.

I put it into the "Mossie" thread.
