How do I get rid of this white background in my Signature?

I have tried all sorts of things

Strange - when I post on OFF/WOFF I get a beige background (shows all white on this forum) with a white band across it.  Obviously the defaults here are different!

You don't have a signature.

Yes the background is set by us depending on the skin you're using.  If you don't want an image with a background you'll have to make one with a transparent background then it will look right on all colored backgrounds.
