Mercenary Campaign Crash When Starting With Low Funds

Hi all,

 

First off, happy new year to everyone! Hope all is well and best wishes for the new year.

 

I was recently giving the mercenary campaign a try and decided to set my funds down low. I went to the loadout section to add some tanks since they don't cost anything. Unfortunately, the game crashed and it does it every time even with my unmodded SF2. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix other than to just start with the default funds? Thanks
