charlielima Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Not easy reading. Marine pilots are Naval Aviators and sport Naval Aviator wings. I believe they don't get their wings unless they are successful at carrier landings in their advanced flight training. In RAG training i have no knowledge if they have to be carrier qualified in type, F-18 or ? these days. US Marine Corps F-4 and F-8 squadrons were deployed on the America, Oriskany, and Midway.
