+Olham Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 In a war, there is not much capacity left for sending corpses back to their homeland. Even British and German soldiers were buried in French soil. Back in those days, the average soldier seemed to have less "importance" - only few people with such "importance" (or a rich family background) were carried home.
