Changing The Location of the Mod Folder

Hi i was just wondering if there is any way to change the location of the mod folder, it automatically goes to my c drive which i think is the norm would there be any way for it to write to my d drive instead. Ive tried copying a mod folder into my d drive then tweaking the game ini files for example "StrikeFighters2 Europe.ini" by changing the directory of things such as the campaign directory however ive had no luck the game would just write to the c drive again.

Hopefully this isnt to confusing and im posting in the right forum.
