Line break spacing question

When I enter a longer string of text, it wraps with the line spacing.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I demonstrate here.

 

By contrast, when I create a new line using the Return or Enter key,

the line spacing becomes larger as seen here in blue.

 

Is there a way to create a new line separated by smaller gaps as when using the List

1. Line 1
2. Line 2
3. Line 3

or Bullet functions?
