I actually liked 0083 the best; more of a gritty and "realistic" scenario IMHO. You've got actual officers doing battle, rather than New Types or kids; a lot more ranged combat, and it was an uncut OVA. But Wing had a kickass score.

0083 was my favourite too. I like the gritty style and the fact that it was from the viewpoints of soldiers instead of kids as well. I wish the more recent incarnations of gundam were like that because SEED absolutely sucked!

BTW, have you watched Area 88?

I saw less than 5 minutes of SEED and stopped. I love A88, but I like the OVAs a lot more than the TV version in all their uncut glory.

LOL. Couldnt stand SEED! I just found it too corny! But when I found Area 88 on youtube I was Relieved that there was actualy a decent air combat anime!
