Alot of people know Kempf for his Dr1, He flew much more than that. He didnt become a fighter pilot till March 1917. With that mentioned he never became an ace, he was removed from his unit with only 4 kills credited to him. How ever he was a great wingman to Bolle and Buamer both, he was the helper in many of their engagments. He was withdraw from Jasta 2 in 1918 to become a flight instructor.
