  1. Bf109E-3

Finally took it for a flight today. Love it. BTW, nice bump-mapping!
  2. I guess if you didn't have NA, but wanted a Tomcat for Paran/Dhimar map?
  3. I never get tired of the over the shoulder cockpit view.
  4. That's believable. Good idea about the custom Phoenix. Might have to do the same.
  5. Tarty mountains etc

Great photos. Reminds me of when I lived in the mountains of North Carolina years ago. I really miss the dramatic cloudscapes.
  6. For immersion, the speech pack that thereg released in November. http://combatace.com...al-speech-pack/ A must if you are flying for any service other than The Republic of Texas Air Force.
  7. So, what different about this compared to the NA version w/skinpack? (other than launch bar and grey skin)
  8. Dang, russouk: That is a gorgeous Bf-109. Can not wait to take her for a spin.
  9. Huge release, Wrench. The WWII stuff is coming along nicely. We got fighters. We got bombers. We got tanks. And now we have a proper ETO terrain. Thanks. PS Maybe I'll map out a campaign when the kids move out. (~18 years from now)
  10. Whoa... I literally haven't used the TFD editor in 3 months before opening it earlier today, and now there's an update? Awesome! Excellent update!
  11. Hi all. I'm testing a 1975 campaign at the moment. China invades as the US Navy is depleted and assisting with Operation Frequent Wind, but 3 carriers are re-routed including USS Enterprise and the first operational Tomcat squadrons. Australia sends a Mirage squadron and HMAS Melbourne. I have strategic nodes running up and down the Western coast of the island, and 5 missions in it seems to be playing out well. Unfortunately, I don't know when I could say the campaign is ready. Testing is slow going as real-life is very hectic for my family right now. Flying 2 missions in a row was a rare treat for tonite. :P The campaign does need my modified targets.ini as I have added 3 off-map airbases to accommodate more PLAAF bombers. If anyone is interested in looking at what I have done, I could post it here. Not ready for the download section I'm afraid. Addons include obvious stuff, like Q-5, F-5A and E etc.
  12. The work done to get the F-102 pit up to speed was extremely welcome. I'm very grateful for SupGen's work on this. My question: Would the same sort of upgrade be possible for the RAZBAM Intruders' pits? They look beautiful, and while most things function, some do not. The item that comes to mind is the distance indicator to waypoints, which is one I consider vital. Also, not sure if the main fuel gauge works properly. I have snooped thru some .ini files, but am not sure exactly what to look for. Wondering if anyone has tried this before? I would like to give it a go, but I'll need some guidance. EDIT: I titled this thread with "part 2?" because I know this topic has been discussed before, probably at length. Sorry if I couldn't find the info needed if it is already out there.
  13. Goin' well, SupGen. Thanks! It's a good start. I'll play around with it. @Fubar512 50% load shows ~80% on my gauge. I'll fix it ah reckon.
  14. On the way home from the beach last summer, we needed a pitstop, and an A-6E TRAM beckoned... (sorry about the photo quality: wife point 'n' shoot + driving rain...)
  15. From the USMC Aviation Museum, Havelock NC

Too true. We donated in the "tip jar" when we left. If I lived close to such a museum, I would certainly volunteer if possible. "You mean I get to touch a Phantom... and clean it too? Yes, please."
  16. I looked at a few of the usual sources, but could not find a good answer: Does anyone know what year RWR would have been added to these?
  17. From the USMC Aviation Museum, Havelock NC

My thoughts too. Must be washed/waxed fairly often. A very nice little museum. We pulled over just to walk around the Intruder, but were pleasantly surprised to find the other planes and museum 100 meters behind it. I will definitely stop again next time we go to Atlantic Beach. http://www.cityofhavelock.com/Departments/Tourist%20Center/TECAviationExhibits.aspx I liked being able to check out all the extra doo-dads on the A-4M from up close.
  18. This is probably a language barrier problem. I don't believe that Morteza's wording is reflective of his intended tone. I don't think he meant it as an attack on Sophocles. At least I hope this is the case.
  19. Ah, ok. Thanks. I was gonna make a F-8E(FN)_80? for a campaign I've been playing. No ECM for the French Navy in 1985. Gonna be tough going if any Floggers/Fulcrums/Flankers show up. ...but thankfully, all TW aircraft have a built in launch detect sytem: In Texan accent: "He's firing a missile!" :P
