OT: First Elder Scrolls V "Skyrim" Gameplay video - Unbelieveable!
Wodin replied to Hellshade's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Dragon Age bored me to be honest very quickly...I lasted longer on Oblivion but I hate the way the enemies level up with you...I did get bored yet again and soon lost interest in Oblivion. Maybe this one will keep my attention longer...but I doubt it. Anyway OFF P4 will be out around then so I will be very busy...;) -
Well I've now been hit a few times by missiles or even flak and I never noticed until I could see flames in my mirror...I expect there is a sound for when you get hit, so is there anyway to turn it up some? Shame thirdwire didn't add ejecting pilots. Also I have ammo on easy (please don't shout) and yet I still get the same amount of missiles in flight as what is stated in the Loadout page. Is this correct? Finally I was trying out an RAF campaign in Europe and was given a mission to attack a flight...yet I wasn't able to loadout with AA missiles. Is this correct? Thanks

A few Questions
Wodin replied to Wodin's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Thanks... I was hit by an MG at low level and never noticed a thing until I saw damage on an external view....wouldn't you hear the impact of bullets and a missile? Anyway again thanks. -
Nuclear explosion
Wodin posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I downloaded the Killerbees weapon mod and decided to see what a Nuclear explosion looks like...and as you can guess there wasn't one....saw the bomb drop but no explosion...well the first time I did it I killed myself and my wingman as I was to low and slow... So is there an explosion for Nuclear bombs? I haven't tried napalm yet...is there eye candy for that? Thanks alot. -

Think I will re install..incase I've messed up somewhere. On a side issue I usually fly WW1 or WW2 and I have great difficulty in dogfighting in these early jet fighters...I can never get behind the enemy...any tips? Thanks for your help -

Downloaded and installed them but still see no effects...oh hum. -
The very early days of the War granted they waved etc...not long into it it was a life and death struggle....I'm sure the odd occasion where they did let each other go was so rare that it became a big story....and like someone said it was for respect rather than sympathy....I'm sure watching your mates go burning down to their deaths made you hard and callous with a burning desire for revenge...and fueled by fear of it happening to you... The Knights of the Sky was perpetuated by the Press at the time...whether the pilots thought they where was a different matter....

Did you ever let your opponent go?
Wodin replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Your screenshots always look superb....is it the skins you use that make the planes look so crisp? You always seem to have great lighting going on on the planes. -
The Knights of the Sky take is a myth...it was brutal and bloody and no quarter was given....

Wodin replied to Wodin's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Still abit confused....so I install SF2e into the SF2 folder? Does this mean that when I boot up SF2 it will have all the SF2E content aswell? -
Are they the air mechanics on the overalls?

OT I nearly lost my best friend

Hope your mate is feeling well....my daughter wants a pet and I'm thinking of a tortiuse but have no idea where you can buy them in the UK... Vet bills can be very expensive..if I had a dog I'd get some insurance... -
No problem Pawgy...I was alittle upset as it felt that I had made you spend your hard earned money on something you really didn't enjoy...even though I honestly thought you would... All I can say is if your enjoying the dogfights in QC you should really enjoy the campaign...some years are easier than others as are some planes...don't expect to keep a pilto alive long...took me a very long time to hit the 17 hr mark...sometimes my pilots only last 5 minutes...I also will stall\spin at times but getting out of them is alot easier than roF...also planes don't stall or spin as much as RoF...fly the camel on OFF then try it on RoF! Anyway your welcome back by me and I'm very happy your getting to grips with it...after awhile you will want to slowly up the difficulty and get rid of some aids I bet...thats what I did and I'm flying at a setting I'd never have considered at one time....

Well I'm 40 in August....time flies....felt like I was 20 only last year... As you get older you realise the saying... Youth is wasted on the young..... is very true indeed.

What started your WW1 aerial interest?
Wodin replied to DukeIronHand's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Watched Aces High when I was a whipper snapper of around 8 or 9.... Have had an obsession with WW1 and WW2 for a very very long time indeed...WW1 though has an atmosphere all of it's own which drags you in....talking on a meta physical level I wonder if people of a certain age are obsessed due to a previous life...many WW1 vets where dying of old age from around 1965 to 1975 as they where between 70 and 85...I was born in '71 so you never know....I have always felt I was there for some reason...in a strange way it feels like an old memory rather than something I just read about....I also have suffered from terrible nightmares every night from at least 7 years old... Anyway once you start to get into WW1 you get sucked right in and it will never let you go again. -
Another here who heartly agrees to every sentence... Well done OBD...keep up the superb work and may P4 make you rich!!!
-
Love that Bus....not to keen flying it but I love the look... Looking superb mate.

Makes a fantastic change to see developers respond to the request of their fans...we asked for some and we got some...and they are fantastic...are the shadows in the cockpit static like in the Se5a at the moment..or are they proper shadows? P4 with, can you possibly imagine, an enhanced campaign is going to put others to shame I feel. A better Campaign than the current one is really what has me excited. I hope we see some campaign screenshots, duty room etc etc. -
Not sure why I do it to myself. Just watched a Spanish film (subtitled) called REC. Horror film. Became a zombie style film to something far more disturbing and in the end has given me the heebie jeebies.... No more...no more horror films for me...give me a drama\comedy or dare I say it a rom com anyday.... Anyway door is double locked and I'm ready for my nightmares.
