  1. No, not in the car

A statement or two or a story: First, you should never hit a woman. Unless she does that to your car, then even a female judge would understand. I have a 454 c.i. SS El Camino. When I lived in Las Vegas my crazy stripper g/f got pissed at me and walked out of the club to my car (it was close to the front door) and started keying it. It took 4 bouncers to hold on to me and I prolly only weighed about 160 lbs. at that time. She went up one side and down the other on my car. Anyhow, it's a good thing that the bouncers stopped me cuz I'd be doing 25 to life had they not..............
  2. I DONT CARE! ABOUT TIGER WOODS

Tiger's old lady is hawt! But there's one thing that everyone here should remember, and if it's the first time you're hearing it remember that Uncle Ruggy said it: No matter how hot the woman somewhere there is some guy that is sick of her BS.
  3. Read This BS.......

In 2004 I finished a tract of high end homes for the builder, Pulte. They were HOA homes and the same HOA that governed the 1700 sq. ft. homes down the hill also governed the 4600 sq. ft. homes that I was responsible for. The fearless leader of the HOA governed with an iron fist and the rules were a joke, his wife was right beside him along for the ride. You couldn't put more than a 4 foot tall fountain in your front yard. Thing is, that was the rule for the small homes with 8 foot ceilings down the hill. You can imagine how stupid it looked on the 12 foot ceiling homes that I speak of. Some of the pony walls adjacent to the walkways running to the front door were 4 foot tall. But little Hitler could care less. As long as he was doing things by the book and screwing people over he could have cared less about what was right. I used to wave to him every day when he'd drive by. I was giving the universal hand sign for "you're number one!". The guy went on for a couple more years then died suddenly. There was a party, I don't know which homeowner started the idea but everyone in the neighborhood celebrated this man's death. I knew every homeowner, being the guy did the final walkthru and turning the house over so I can honestly say that there were only a couple of homeowners out of the 50+ that I knew that I didn't like. But everyone was glad he was gone. That says something about what kind of asshat in an HOA can make your life miserable. Their new HOA president is awesome, having lived under the thumb of the previous administration and having been punished by a small and inconsequential individual. Now rules are made that benefits the homeowners, no more petty BS. I've worked all across the valley (Phoenix) and I haven't seen one housing tract built in the past 10 years that isn't HOA controlled. HOA's can be good and for the most part have decent board members. But once in a while you get some idiots like the ones who won't allow the flag pole. What many people don't get is that the rules laid out in the covenants for the HOA are meant to be amended and changed. The city of Phoenix is responsible for the HOA's in our town. They have a whole set of rules that are detrimental to the builder so the builder lays out the HOA rules for stuff such as rainwater retention, noise abatement, dust control, etc. So the builder puts all of these lame rules into the HOA covenants so that he doesn't have to foot the bill for the aforementioned items. But they're almost never changed once the builder relinquishes control over the HOA. This usually happens as soon as the housing tract is complete. I know that in Las Vegas (where I've worked extensively) also has the same kind of situation regarding builders, the city and HOA's. I'd be willing to bet that it's very similar across the country. I'd like to point out that the HOA board can give a variance that is opposite of one of the "rules" if they so choose to. The HOA who won't allow the flag pole are dicks, plain and simple. It's in their power to give a true hero a break. Hell, it's in their power to give anyone a break. And I don't give a damn what anyone says, a proper flag pole is not a nuisance or detrimental to the asthetics of the neighborhood. God bless that soldier for what he's done, IMHO as long as he isn't physically hurting anyone else he should be allowed to do whatever he wants to do. He's earned it. That and our undying gratitude.
  4. Read This BS.......

What some fail to realize is that in many parts of the country you cannot buy a new home unless it has an HOA. I haven't seen one housing tract built in Phoenix since 2001 that isn't HOA governed. The good thing is that the state has clipped the wings of the HOA's who try to use their powers to make someone's life miserable. In fact, one guy lost his house and killed the president of the HOA. Letters to the editor in the newspaper were 100 to 1 against the HOA and after that our congresspeople put out new bills for us to vote on. TBH, if I lived in an HOA and some board member had filed liens and caused me to lose my home I don't think you'd ever see that guy again. There's lots of desert and big holes where gold and silver were taken out of the ground here.
  5. Richard Todd R.I.P.

RIP, thanks for your service mate.
  6. Read This BS.......

Every housing tract in the last 10 years here has an HA. If you buy new you're stuck. Many times you have little men/women who have been treated bad most of their lives get some power being on the HA board. Then they make the homeowners pay for the perceived transgressions. I'm not sure how it is in other states, but HA's have had their powers knocked down a bit because people were losing their homes over fines levied by the board. That being said, someone needs to start kneecapping every one of those board members. One each day until the gentleman is told he'd be allowed to fly his flag.

A: No. To fly the Ka-50 you must own DCS: Black Shark. However, AI-controlled Ka-50 helicopters are included in Flaming Cliffs 2.0. Q: What mission content will be included in Flaming Cliffs 2.0? A: Each aircraft will have several new single missions and new Su-25 and A-10A campaigns will be included. Q: Will new documents be provided? A: Yes. A new Flaming Cliffs manual will be provided as well as a new Install Guide. Q: Will 3rd party modifications created for Flaming Cliffs 1.12 work in Flaming Cliffs 2.0? A: Yes, in most cases. However, some minor modifications made need to be made for 3rd party-created aircraft. Q: What operating systems will be supported? A: Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Q: What copy protection will be used? A: StarForce online activation (only) will be used. A: $14.99 USD Q: Will Flaming Cliffs 2.0 use the same "engine" as Black Shark? A: It would be more accurate to say that both Flaming Cliffs 2.0 and Black Shark use the same generation of The Fighter Collection Simulation Engine (TFCSE). This was done not only to improve the Flaming Cliffs series in many key areas, but to also allow multi-player compatibility between the two brand series. Given this, they share many things in common, including: • Map and airbases • Multiplayer and network code (sorry, no dedicated server yet) • Log Book • Encyclopedia • AI units and AI actions • Track file system • Options • Mission Editor • Campaign Editor • Modding openness • World lighting and shadowing • TripleHead2Go support • Force feedback implementation • Monitor resolution support Q: What are the system specifications for Flaming Cliffs 2.0? A: The same as for Black Shark. For most users, the game will run faster than Flaming Cliffs 1.12 due to TFCSE optimizations. Minimum system requirements: Windows XP, Vista or 7; CPU P4 2 GHz; RAM 2 GB; video card 256 MB RAM, compatible with DirectX 9; 5 GB HDD space; sound card; keyboard and mouse. Recommended system requirements: Windows XP, Vista or 7, CPU Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD X2; RAM 3 GB; video card with 512 MB RAM (ATI Radeon HD4850+ or nVidia GF8800+), compatible with DirectX 9; 5 GB of HDD space; sound card; keyboard and mouse; and joystick. Q: If I install the Flaming Cliffs 2.0 upgrade to an existing copy of Flaming Cliffs, will I still need the original Flaming Cliffs CD to launch it and still go through activation? A: No, only the Flaming Cliffs 2.0 protection system would be used. Q: Will the upcoming DCS: A-10C Warthog be online compatible with Flaming Cliffs 2.0? A: We do not know yet as DCS: A-10C Warthog is still in development. Q: Can I port Flaming Cliffs missions into Flaming Cliffs 2.0? A: No, due to significant changes in the map and Mission Editor. Q: Will a combined package of Lock On and Flaming Cliffs 2.0 be released? A: This is possible and something that is under investigation with Ubisoft (owners of intellectual property rights of Lock On). Q: Will it be possible to build missions in both Black Shark and Flaming Cliffs FC 2.0 and use them interchangeably? A: For the most part yes, but some mission modification would probably be needed due to a different set of flyable aircraft. Q: Will all Flaming Cliffs 2.0 flyable aircraft now have the Advance Flight Model (AFM) system? A: The Su-25 and Su-25T most certainly will and will have some performance tweaks. The other aircraft will have the Standard Flight Model (SFM) but will see more realistic performance in regards to such items as climb rates, acceleration, and top speeds. Q: What if I do not have a copy of Flaming Cliffs to upgrade to Flaming Cliffs 2.0? A: Likely in the Spring of 2010 we will release Flaming Cliffs 2.0 of DVD. This version will be a complete Flaming Cliffs 2.0 install but will still require Lock On to be first installed. You can purchase Lock On at: http://www.kengray.co.uk/lockonbuy.htm Q: What about including 3rd party models, textures, etc.? A: While 3rd party developers are certainly free to add these to Flaming Cliffs 2.0 after release, they will not be integrated due to past issues attempting to use 3rd party content and legal issues. Q: Will the released terrain tools be compatible with Flaming Cliffs 2.0? A: Yes. Q: Will Black Shark and Flaming Cliffs 2.0 be run from the same executable? A: No, they are two separate programs. They only link together in regards to online compatibility. Q: Has the AIM-120B/C performance been improved? A: Yes in regards to range, speed, fuze ranges, and counter-counter measure effectiveness. Other missiles have also been improved. In a related manner, ECM burn-through ranges have been moved significantly out (based on aircraft type) and a 15 second ECM warm-up time has been added to address ECM blinking online. Q: What are the payment options for Flaming Cliffs 2.0? A: Most major credit cards will be accepted through: http://lockon.co.uk/index.php?end_po...g=en&cat_sid=0 Q: Will the Flaming Cliffs 2.0 aircraft receive the same level of detail regarding navigation systems, lights, and radios as the Ka-50 in DCS: Black Shark? A: No, that level of detail is reserved for the DCS series. Except for when indicted in this FAQ, Flaming Cliffs 2.0 aircraft will be as they are in Flaming Cliffs. Q: Will multi-player aerial refueling be supported in Flaming Cliffs 2.0? A: As in Flaming Cliffs 1.12, the answer is no. Q: Why are the Flaming Cliffs 2.0 limited 6 DOF and not full 6 DOF? A: Unlike the Ka-50 cockpit in DCS: Black Shark, the Flaming Cliffs 2.0 cockpits are not full 3D in every aspect that allows unlimited 6 DOF movement around the cockpit. Yaw, pitch, and Z-axis are as they were in Flaming Cliffs, but X, Y, and roll are limited. Q: Will the training tracks be updated? A: Yes. Q: Where will the boxed version of Flaming Cliffs 2.0 be available? A: Outside of TFC website (http://www.kengray.co.uk/lockonbuy.htm), that has yet to be determined. Q: If there are future Black Shark patches, will Flaming Cliffs 2.0 still be online compatible? A: We will make every effort to retain this compatibility. Q: What will be the activation limits for Flaming Cliffs 2.0? A: 8 activations and 10 deactivations. Note that just reinstalling the game does NOT use an activation! An activation or deactivation is only used when there is a significant hardware or OS change. Even if the user has exhausted all of their activations and deactivations, more are provided with proof of purchase. If in the unfortunate circumstance Eagle Dynamics were to go out of business, our intent would be to release a final patch to remove copy protection. Q: What would be the Flaming Cliffs upgrade paths be? A: Either Lock On + Flaming Cliffs unofficial add-on (you would not have to activate) + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 upgrade or Lock On + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 DVD. Q: Is it true that bird injection has been added? A: Yes, but it can be set on or off with .LUA setting. FaQ update

  13. NEW MILITARY-GRADE CONTROLLERS SHOWCASED AT I/ITSEC 2009 CH Products presents new Military Desktop Training Solutions VISTA, California (October 28, 2009) – CH Products, LLC (www.chproducts.com) today announces new High Fidelity Controllers for Military Desktop Simulation applications. The Reaper GCS Console is an all inclusive, affordable desktop training simulator and is designed to meet the training needs of the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security. Both high fidelity solutions feature industrial grade components, driverless USB connectivity, and award-winning reliability. CH Products can meet or exceed your expectations in Cost, Schedule and Performance. CH Products is proud to demonstrate, along with The Fighter Collection’s A-10C version of "The Battle Simulator", at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (http://www.iitsec.org/) in Orlando, Florida from Nov 30 – Dec 03, 2009. BOOTH 2819. Edited 11/02/09 Quoting Revvin from the CH-Hangar: I've spoken to Debby today as there has been a large amount of interest in the announcement I posted recently. I can confirm that an A-10C HOTAS is on their roadmap for a consumer release but there is no date set as yet. With a project as big as this - a completely new one-for-one, military-style HOTAS and a ground control station for the Reaper system - the design, the development time and tooling costs are very high and this is why it is not being introduced as a consumer product first. Remember CH Products still does all this in-house in the US and does not outsource to sub-contractors half way around the world. There are no plans as yet for a consumer version of the Reaper system as apart from support by Abacus there is no real demand from software for it. I'll try and bring you more details as and when I can but suffice to say any new HOTAS from CH Products will not only have the same unrivalled build quality and support it will have also have support from the industry leading Control Manager software.
  14. Flight Sim"war"stories...

Hyperlobby was slow but I had the urge to fly so I hopped into our dedicated server to fly some LOFC CAS missions. The particular mission that was running had several convoys en route to their destinations and I had HUD markers showing their last known locations. I loaded up my A-10 with CBU's, Mk 82's, 84's and a couple of Maverick D's. The flight into the target area ran about 30 minutes so I was enjoying the scenery at angels 15 until I passed the FEBA. I knew that medium and long range SAMs were operating in the area so I decided to mask my presence in the mountainous terrain. I knew I was taking a chance at being hit by MANPADs but it was either hop ridges and keep my exposure low or dodge SAMs till they got lucky or I augered in. I popped up from time to time to scan the area for the convoys then I'd terrain mask. Eventually I got nails on my RWR, it was a short range mobile SAM, Tor IIRC. Tor's suck to go up against, they're longer ranged than my Mavs and I was well inside their WEZ. Thankfully the convoy was traveling on road in a deep canyon. I could ridge hop and limit my exposure. I got my bearings and set up for an attack run. It was a large convoy (about 18 vehicles) protected by Tor and Shilka. I set myself up so that I was on the edge of the WEZ for the Tor and I let him fire on me. I immediated put him on my 3 o'clock and turned on ECM and dropped chaff, a bundle a second as programmed by my CH software. The missile went ballistic and exploded behind my some distance so I yanked hard on the stick and went nose on with the Tor, Mav D's selected. I use a CH DT225 for my cursor duties and as such I'm awful quick on locking up targets. I ground stabilized the Mav, slew it to the Tor, zoomed in to IFF and Rifle! Mav away. Another high g turn put me beam on the Tor as I hopped over the next ridge. I gained airspeed and turned back to take a quick look over the ridge. No nails! Tor was dead. The convoy was traveling north and a couple miles up the road was a bridge. I disengaged and selected Mk. 84's, single drop. I set up on the bridge and shacked it. The convoy was in trouble. I removed the Shilka and the rest of the convoy using CBU's and iron as well as some GAU 8. I was Winchester so I headed back towards base. About this time one of my squaddies joined Ventrilo and asked what my location was. He said that there was a Su in the area, he'd just joined the server. I wasn't worried at first because I was flying below the tallest mountains and there was no EWR to datalink the Su and give him my location. I did some quick calculations and gave Dubb a heading for intercept with me. He was an A-10 as well. I figured I had plenty of gas, I could fly with Dubb and call out targets as well as SAM launches as he made his attack runs. I was headed towards the last known location of the second convoy. I flew another 5 minutes or so before I got nails, I was ridge hopping again. Seems that the Su was in the area and he was looking for us. I flew lower continuing on my flight path so that Dubb would be able to rendezvous with me. At this point we were two slow jets being forced to evade the best that Russia had to offer. I get a call over comms that Dubb has visual on me, and a couple seconds later he says "break, chaff-flare". I yank a hard 90 degree turn and dump chaff and flare like it's going out of style. The Su-27 on my butt had me locked in EOS (Electronic Optical Sighting) and fired an IR missile at me. The Su continues on and blows thru our flight but then he does something arrogant and stupid. He goes into the turn. Dubb is still heavily loaded (no time to jettison weapons) and he's in a right hand turn (as am I). Dubb was coming the opposite direction so as I'm in my right turn he's turning circles in an opposite direction. The Su is yanking hard and burning off airspeed, which is stupid as the jet is extremely heavy and at low AOA it's sustained turn rate is horrible. This fight is a two turn fight. Coming into my second turn I'm still at 180 knots (Winchester) and I get a shot on the Su. I have visual on Dubb, he's got perfect separation and in no chance of being tracked by my IR seeker. Fox Two!. My Sidewinder smacks the Su in the left engine, smoke and fire billow out but he's still flying. Dubb gets nose on and fires as well. Another hit in the body of the jet, it's wounded but not out. I position myself behind the Su and go guns on him. I run GAU 8 up and down the spine of the enemy jet. Off comes the canopy and I see the ejection seat fire. A few seconds later a chute. There's one Su pilot that will respect the A-10 in the future. As Dubb and I formed up RTB rearm/refuel he commented on how perfect my heading and distance numbers were to get him into a position to link up. I had done some quick calculations using my waypoints, distance to home plate, offset for where the convoy was and the HSI helped me out tremendously. Thankfully we have some real pilots in my squadron that taught us how to use our instruments. Dubb linked up with me from 100 miles distance and lateral separation was a mile. That's pretty good Kentucky windage. That wasn't the most important part though. Dubb saw that I was going to be in a turn fight with the Su (in chat after the fact he hadn't spotted Dubb) so my wingman put himself in a supportive position to protect me and to attack at the same time. I only got the first shot off cuz I was light with 2500 lbs. of fuel. Mutual support saved both of us and netted us an A/A kill. It just doesn't get better than that.........
  15. Happy Birthday Marine Corps

Been a long day, sorry I'm posting so late. Thankfully I was able to call my grandpa this a.m. and wish him and his beloved Corps HBD. He gave the Corps 22 years, his brother gave 30. Semper Fi. The Corps is 234.
  16. Lock On/Flaming Cliffs 2.0

Which is what the cost of any new game is. Look at MW2, it's at least $50 and I've seen it for $60 if you get the console version. Would you expect to play IL2 Forgotten Battles without IL2, Aces and Pacific Fighters? Of course not. And to buy all of those would cost you about $50. If you have Lockon it's going to cost you $30. Why are you complaining about $50? There are community mods with a new F-15, A-10 and Su-27 model. They're free. Anything else you wanna complain about? What sims are you flying?
  17. Lock On/Flaming Cliffs 2.0

2.0 will be available on disc sometime this spring. It will include Flaming Cliffs 1.0. It's twice the price of the download version (because of content). It's $30.
  18. Taking my simming seriously...back in the day.

I used to have huge amounts of notes but I worked my tail off to memorize everything. I think that's why I have no notes, cuz I found myself this week finding some and reading them and throwing them out. Cuz I already know that stuff. ;)
  19. Taking my simming seriously...back in the day.

Some of us are (unmarried) nerds with hardware.................This is my '09 pit. For '10 I'm hoping to have a new CH A-10C HOTAS.
  20. 9/11 Trial

I can't imagine that. I lost a lot of fellow Americans I didn't know. I'm still pissed off about 9/11 and as time goes on I doubt if I'll ever stop being mad about it.
  21. 2 group, 1 aircraft each. As I stated above if you add a second aircraft in a group you end up with an AI wingman.
  22. If you fly on another pilot's wing, you're a wingman. It's the only way to set up client aircraft. If you add another a/c to each client flight you'll have an AI wingman. As for callsigns I believe you can set them in the editor.

  24. thank you for smoking!

I don't smoke and my g/f used to smoke these: But she'd smell so bad that I just couldn't stand it. So I came home after hearing an ad for Smoke Assassin. She ordered one (it was free) and while it was a POS she realized that electronic cigarettes could replace those expensive analog cigarettes. She ordered her first real e-cig after doing quite a bit of research and now she has no craving whatsoever for real cigarettes. She still gets her nicotine fix without the CO2, tar, arsenic or the other assorted 2000 chemicals that are bad for you that come from real cigarettes. E-Cigs use vegetable glycerin (food grade), propolyne glycol (food grade) nicotine liquid and water based food grade flavoring. Here's the kit she ordered. She found a personal vaporizing (that's the correct term, FDA banned "e-cigs" hence the new name) website and became part of a group of people here in town that meet once a month. They exchange information, some are dealers and sell products as well. But the best part is that the "smoke" she exhales is water vapor. It doesn't have an odor and she can "vape" anywhere, smoking laws don't apply. She even makes her own vaporizing juice. She quit 96 days ago, saved $1100 which equal 2896 cigarettes. She's spent a total of $500 on personal vaporizing stuff and once you get past the initial outlay it costs about $30 a month. I hooked up with an old friend the other day who smokes and my g/f was showing her the vaporizer. She said no way was she going to "smoke" one of those cuz they weren't real. After a couple hours she took my g/f's offer and tried one. She started coughing from the "hit". She laughed and said it was like smoking a bong. My g/f said the same thing when she started. The most important thing for smokers is that throat hit you get when you smoke cigarettes. With the right vaporizer you get that, it feels exactly like smoking a cigarette. Lots of guys use them too and they use something called a "Chuck Mod". They're custom made and they're kind of the size of a medium size cigar. They're like a standard personal vaporizer on steroids. Anyhow, just wanted to give you guys the heads up on what's out there. Thank god I came across these and showed my g/f. Now she smells good all the time, doesn't have to constantly chew gum or use mouthwash and she'll live longer. She's also gotten her sense of smell and taste back.
