I live in Arizona, it's out of control here (at least until recently). It's illegal aliens that piss me off. 2% of the illegals in this country do work Americans don't want to do. The rest are taking jobs that Americans want. Crime has risen 68% and it's directly attributable to illegal immigration. We don't usually have cops killed in Phoenix, but last year we lost 3 and their killers went back across the border and Mexico won't give them back to us, cuz AZ has the death penalty. Theft from employers is rampant, my brother in law had 250 illegals working for him, and they would steal work materials (he's a painting contractor) and you'd see them at the swap meets with tables full of stuff they stole from him. The absolute worst part about it is there's no accountability for them. They use fake social security numbers to get fake drivers licenses. No car insurance, no paying for their license plates so the state misses out on all those taxes to pay for our roads. The few times the illegals had demonstration marches last year the freeways in the morning were much less packed and easier to traverse. So we know they're using the roads, just not paying for them. Several county hospitals have been shut down cuz the illegals go there for everything, including having a headache. Can you imagine going to the hospital for an aspirin? So the hospitals have closed cuz lack of funds and now the Americans who live in those parts of town (poor areas) can't get health care they deserve and were getting before the illegals sucked the life out of the hospitals. Let's not forget they pay no taxes. They claim max amount of dependants (11) and have almost nothing (something like $14 out of a $400 paycheck) witheld for social security. They figure that's a fair price to pay for using a stolen SS number. I think it's a damn shame that people who flaunt the laws in this country and don't contribute to the system take away things from low income Americans. It makes me sick.

My dad happens to be a racist azzhole. One of my close friends who posts here (Cali) and I were going to lunch one day and my dad wanted to go. I had to tell him to behave. It's a shame when the kid has to verbally biatch-slap the parent. ;) The old man just doesn't get it that no one has any control over their skin color. The important thing they can control is how they act towards others. That being said, I don't see my dad much any more. It's easier on me and the fact that I don't lose a bit of my soul everytime I have to hear his ignorant BS..............LOL Icarus makes a good point. News organizations are scared to call the race card on a minority. If we don't call everyone who is racist on it then things will never change. I expect to be treated like the next guy regardless of race, job description or social status. Treat racists the way they deserve, even the ones that happen to be in a minority group.

I've always judged people on their actions and interactions with myself, friends, family, etc. I know plenty of jaggoffs of all colors, it's not skin color that determines what kind of person you are. I don't know a lot of people who are downright racist, but people in general tend to have their prejudices (which is different than racism). Prejudice can be skin color related, but I've seen it with stuff as stupid as related to income, hair length (I used to be a rocker dude in the 80's/90's), what kind of car you drive, etc. As for the poll, I don't buy it. I think the poll is low. And I think the poll is too simplified. Being caucasian and middle class with a blue collar background I can only give examples of what I've seen and heard from others in those circles. I've heard people say that there will be riots if Obama isn't elected. They cite the riots when sports teams have won/lost championships. I think some of the bias comes from generalizations. Plus, people tend to remember the bad things that happened. The good stuff just isn't "juicy enuf" when gossiping.

LOMAC CLOUD PROBLEM
Ruggbutt replied to niro's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
I'm using override and 4xAA/16xAF. I don't use more than 4xAA cuz it really makes the ground targets impossible to see. I don't take an fps hit from 8xAA though. :) I'm glad to see you got things working. :) -
LOMAC CLOUD PROBLEM
Ruggbutt replied to niro's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
I have the same video card and the same vid drivers and I'm not seeing the problem you're having. I do get that problem when I run SLI in any other mode than split frame rendering. It's absolutely a driver issue. Have you removed your drivers properly? The correct procedure would be to remove thru your control panel, reboot into safe mode. Use Driver Cleaner Pro (google it, it's free). Reboot. Install drivers. Reboot. -
First off, the congressmen/women should send a letter of apology for politicizing this case. These mens' lives could have been ruined and they still might be. And that's not to say what a toll this has taken on morale which could be directly related to future deaths amongst Marines. Politicians should be allowed two terms, period. I'm sick and tired of our soldiers not being able to prosecute a war the way it should be. Don't shoot at insurgents that run into mosques. Don't JDAM a bunch of known terrorists attending a funeral for one of their dead buddies. It makes me sick that the weenies on capitol hill think they know better than the guys living the experience every day. To be fair, I know two pilots (retired) that flew with him. They said he was an @sshole when he was military. Had very few friends cuz he was so abrasive. It doesn't surprise me that he stole that money. At least he's paying for it now.

Red Flag (LOCERF) Lock On/Flaming Cliffs
Ruggbutt posted a topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
I wanted to bring to your attention one of the best community based events that I've been proud to be part of. It's called LOCERF but we're just calling it Red Flag for short. It was conceived by 159th Fudd as a way to get all the LOMAC squads and lone wolf pilots together at one time to fly in one huge three hour mission. There are two sides, one red the other blue. Fudd assigns lone wolf pilots and squadrons to one side or the other and hosts the planning of the missions on the 159th Guards website. Ventrilo and Teamspeak are used for comms and there are different channels for each flight as well as a way to transmit on "guard" or across all channels. Red Flag has been held a total of three times with the next one in mid-September. Our squadron has flown all three and I can't tell you how amazing it is to fly with all these great pilots. What really got me deep down was how immersive it was to hear your CAP fighters speaking to you clearing you in hot. I'll probably always remember the first time I heard Jabog 32 calling on guard channel in that classic German accent "Monster Flight, cleared in hot in the box. We have the airspace". Amazing is too tame a word at how realistic RF feels. Different flights calling on guard that they're on finals and such, it's a far cry from some of the sterile m/p flights I've been part of. Missions are made by different members of the community and of the three so far they've all been different. RF one required equal flights of SEAD and Strike a/c as well as CAP. RF2 was much the same but the ground targets were space farther apart and there were many more of them. RF3 had medium and short ranged SAM sites as well as large convoys that needed to be hit. There were also buildings that had to be targeted precisely (either with iron bombs or laser guided missiles) as collateral damage cost you "points". I'd love to tell all of you which Red Flag was my favorite but I can't pick out one. I flew SEAD or Strike in all three and there was some insane flying in all of them. In RF2 3Sqn Kuky and myself flew in under the raging battle over head to strike our secondary target. I hit it with a TV guided missile. As I bugged out I got spiked by an F15 so I dumped the rest of my ordnance and pointed the nose down over the treetops, hoping to lose him in the hilly terrain. As I kept an eye on my SPO15 (RWR) I knew at which range he'd be able to fire on a fleeing target. I was flying the Su25T and I was doing 850kph on the deck. I trashed several missiles fired at me as I jinked and rolled while using plenty of rudder, all this at 30m altitude. He went guns on me and although he hit me a couple of times I ran him out of 895 rounds of 20mm. Just about the time he ran out (and with me calling for help over guard) one of my squaddies showed up in his Mig to chase the bad man away. We have tracks made of each Red Flag, as well as TacView (ACMI) tracks. 159th Viper spent a huge amount of time watching the track and taking screenshots, of which I'm going to post for you here. Big thanks to Viper for his diligence, he's the "unofficial" photographer for Red Flag. These are all from RF3 and I'll post after each additional one to update this thread. Game On! Speaking as a member here who is in an FPS squad since '00 and a flight sim squad since '04 I don't hold high hopes for this game. They ruined the Ghost Recon series, GRAW 1 just plain sucked and GRAW2 could have been fantastic. Except for lack of content for the PC. Any of you that hope to have anything other than arcade for PC will be greatly disappointed. UBI does not support it's PC gamers. For instance, GRAW2 on console got a huge map pack while us PC dudes are stuck with the same 9 maps. UBI could have had another game of the year (like it did with Ghost Recon and it's number one selling expansions Desert Siege and Island Thunder). UBI is more interested in catering to the console crowd, getting the title out and getting the money. Their lack of support for PC is (in)famous. In fact, Ravenshield people are on year 4 waiting for a patch to fix what was extremely broken after a previous patch. What UBI is good at is marketing and CG rendered movies. The odds are good that the game will look very similar to that movie, GRAW2 looked like it's CG movies. UBI's PC games have been dumbed down to levels matching what you can expect for console. If you liked the Ace Combat series or BA you'll most likely love this release. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend wasting a dollar on this title.

SimMod is working on a new A-10 model for Lock On/Flaming Cliffs, and I've been fortunate enough to have been chosen to skin it. The low-vis gray was skinned by Rockwelder, the rest are mine. I hope you like them. This model is sick and I can't wait till the rest of you are able to get your hands on it. :)

Unless the SIMMOD team has any other issues for me to fix, I'm done skinning for the A-10 release. Now I'm doing some stuff for the 141st (Yeniceri's squadron) as well as ours. I've fixed Peanut and Flipper skins to reflect more what their real colors are. -

It's massive. Only someone who is experienced in altering files such as the INIT file should mess with it. Back it up before you do though. -
