looking for a good flight sim

Battle of Britain 2 IMO is the most realistic, immersive ww2 combat sim going. Make Il-2 look "cartoonish" which is hard to do.. -
anyone know how to get a old microsoft FF stick to work in XP
stalkervision posted a topic in General Flight Sim Discussion
I have a old but very good Microsoft FF pro stick with a microsoft serial to usb adapter(no serial port on my computer only usb) It's a HP pavillion running windows XP. The computer doesn't recognise the stick as even being there. Anyone know how to get windows xp to recognise the stick? I want to use it for "BOB 2" which has software to run the ff stick if the computer will just recognise it. It will run in XP with the serial adapter on my older computer but not with the usb connection on my new HP. -
Basic air combat question
stalkervision replied to stalkervision's topic in WWI Flight Sim Discussion
all very very true and all worth knowing when facing an experianced pilot who knows how to use the vertical dimension to his favor. If one never learns this skill one puts oneself to a great disadvantage. "you will be greeted by a much better class of pilot" That is exactly the answer.. -

Ya, I should have posted this in the jet and ww 2 sections huh? My mistake.. I suppose it applies to ww 1 fighter also it's just a bit harder to do without having your wings come off in a dive. The spad and Fokker d7 could probably accompolish this though quite well though.. -
How many people know what this means? "You meet a better class of people in the vertical" ?

The mig 21 "lancer"
stalkervision replied to stalkervision's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
http://www.mig-21.de/bilder/kabinelancera.jpg Oh the cockpit is oh so nice.... I have read in some nato squadron exercises they have even given f-16's trouble. The Mig 21 was just waiting for this upgrade! It can use modern Nato missiles also! -
