  1. Are there any plans to convert the Netz to the base US F-16A in the works? Or, are most just going to use the F-16 addon models made by various authors.
  2. Much thanks, Gocad! I have no idea as to where coordinates are on the game map, so this will help me out immensely in my quest to be a USN fighter pilot versus the Red Horde....
  3. If you get a carrier into the stock WOE 1979 campaign, can you post the coordinates for others to use? I would greatly appreciate it. I'd like to put a US carrier into the campaign, but I have no idea as to where I'd have to put it on the map...knowing my luck, it would end up sailing down the Rhine or the A6 autobahn. I'm going to use a WOV carrier (merged install) and use the appropriate F-4's from in-game.
  4. The Phoneix was actually designed to shoot down Soviet Naval Aviation bombers at long range that would be a threat to carrier groups if the Cold War ever went Hot, so it's performance against a Su-27 variant probably won't be all that good, especially within 15nm at a minimum. It's a fast missle that can easily be F-poled in a maneuverable fighter, such as the Chinese Flanker. The -120 should be fairly reliable, though...if taken into historical aspects.
  5. I searched the Knowledge Base, but I couldn't find an answer to a couple of questions concerning a merged WOE/WOV install. If I decide to merge the existing WOV install into the WOE one, does WOV keep the same capabilities...carrier ops and the like...as it does as a stand alone install? Also, if I merge WOV, can I then uninstall it or does WOE borrow files from it and it has to remain? Concerning third party planes made for WOV, like the Mirage Factory's Tomcat....are they compatible in the merged install? I've got SFP1, WOV and WOE, but I figure the latter two give me just about everything I need/want from the series besides the open time line...which I can edit if I want. Many thanks for any assistance in this endeavour...
  6. Thanks for the info, folks....I decided to merge it instead of having two seperate installs. I figured that would be the best of both worlds. Haven't found out of the merge replaces WOV or not, so I'm going to try something by deleting the WOV install. I fly mostly campaigns and online...if/when my flying mates get up to speed on WOV/WOE...so having everything in one install seemed the logical thing to do. I had a lot of fun with WOV when it first came out, and it seems like there's been some goodies added to the series with subsequent patches, so I figured I'd give it another try. Gonna go find me some mid/late 80's campaigns to try and see if there's something in the Knowledge Base about adding a carrier to the stock WOE late campaign. Gotta have my Tomcat fix...
  7. Is there a guide online to importing WoV planes into SFP:1? I looked through the Sticky topics, but didn't find anything...I probably missed it... Many thanks
  8. Thanks for the info, Howling...I've got the Phantom J and the A4F from Thirdwire installed. The part that threw me was placing all the extracted objects into the Aircraft folder instead of the Object folder. That's what I tried the first time and I was a "No-go" at that station... I was thinking more along the lines of WoV's 105 because I knew it has lower level .LOD's to save on some frames, but I will check out ArmorDave's.
  9. I got WoV when it first came out...just picked up SFP:1 recently. I have no problems in adding add-on plane packages...got too many to fly already...I am more curious about taking, for example, the F-4J out of WoV and putting it into SFP:1. I've already got the F-4J from TW...I figured knowing the process on "How-To" would help me if there's something else I wanted to put into SFP:1 from WoV. The 105 was a plane that I wanted to import into SFP:1...I haven't checked out ArmorDave's yet. I figured on using the Thirdwire ones as I'm guessing they have the lower level .LOD's that help out framerates with multiple aircraft on-screen on my mid-level system.
