  1. Farman F.E.2B Released

There are some fantastic aircraft coming off the assembly line from this team. I wish I had access to them. I did request to become a registered user a while back but only received an automated response. Is there another channel I have to go down to become registered?
  2. New Mannock skin query

Judging from these enquiries, there seems to have been a few teething problems with this skin and for that I can only apologise. I've been involved with drawing for years and feel fairly competent with that but on the uploading side I'm a mere novice and obviously have got one or two bits out of sync. Thanks to all who have since sorted it for me one way or another. I promise I'll get better at it, hope it hasn't spoilt any enjoyment. I see there was mention of the size of file. As an explanation, I initially resample the 72dpi templates to 144 in order to have a bigger surface to work on and so increase the level of detail, hence the increase. Personally I haven't had any problems flying the skin and I only operate on a 'dinosaur' of a comupter with a slightly overclocked AMD 1.1 gig processor and an old Radeon 7200 graphics card. Anyway many thanks for the feedback.

  6. File Name: SE5a 'Mick' Mannock File Submitter: stephen honey File Submitted: 12 Mar 2007 File Updated: 12 Mar 2007 File Category: WW1 Aircraft Repaint depicting 'Mick' Mannock's SE5a. 'Grubby' version. Again all credit to the Thirdwire crew for producing such an excellent template to work on. (My preference is for aircraft that look a bit 'worn-in', would anyone prefer a factory finished aeroplane?) Addition to existing SE5a 'Mick' Mannock skins, sorry for the omission! 9. Se5a from above.jpg

    Here's the second one
  10. Se5a from below.jpg

A couple of screenshots of the Se5a. I've tweaked the Thirdwire template, (hope that's O.K. with you), to include some canvas detail, complete with dirt and oil stains plus some work around engine and undercarriage. If anyone thinks it merits an upload to the skin download section I'll do that. All credit to the original template though.
  11. RAF Camo template/patterns?

Not sure if you're still looking, or if you've got this one. Another colour swatch site, very comprehensive with big swatches, no digital values but an eyedropper from photoshop/photopaint or similar will obviously sort that out. The site is: don color aircraft camouflages. address: www.jpsmodel.de/dc/luft_e.html
  12. RAF Camo template/patterns?

Not sure if this is any help, but, browsing for SE5a info the other day, came accross these. For a list of CMYK values for aircraft colours: www.chandell-jah.com/camocolors.html Also an intersesting restoration site: www.memorial.flight.free.fr
  13. This is a first post for me... and yes, it's in direct response to the new conditions set. I expect we'll be seeing a lot more people making the effort to contribute to the forum now. On reflection it's a good idea, I for one have downloaded quite a few files in the form of add-ons and modifications. It's all fantastic stuff and those that create and donate them deserve every thanks in return. I wouldn't know where to begin to create a 3D model for the planes in the first place. I am proficient artistically though, so may venture into a few skin projects in the future. Thanks again to all the uploaders, it's much appreciated.
