Guess there aren't that many planes left. I have the "Complete Book of Fighters" by Green & Swanborough containing some 1700 (!) fighters but probably some 90% are not important, developed by completely unknown designers in very small factories, WW I or pre WW II and were either only prototypes or produced in very small numbers. As the Third Wire sims are not focused on these periods maybe the number of possibilities is relatively limited......... The more modern models are rather
fewer. But at least the well known planes are very well covered I guess. And thank you very much for them !!!!!!!!

Gotta agree with Dirk here. I was looking for something to do that excited me and that I had decent reference materials on and ended up with.... Grumman Jaguar. Not exactly mainstream. I've put that on hold as I actually DO have something new in the works. Timeframe tbd.

Here's the start of an LCM(3). I need to know how much detail is needed - and some of the details regarding getting the model into the game - coordinates etc... I had planned on adding more detail via the skin to keep the poly count down on an obvious target.

If you all want a model or two built for this campaign, I'm up for it. Of course, you'll only be getting a model and skin - no ini work as I'm not that bright.

That's my model and I'm not sure where the problem lies. If anyone has any tips - I'm happy to look for and correct the issue with the model - I know it's usually an open mesh but I don't know how to find it or even where to start looking. I'll give the source file to saomeone who actually knows what they are looking for if so requested.

Any clue on how to get the airbrakes to be deployed by default on the ground ? (as was apparently the case from what I've read and seen)I tried to extrapolate from the lines used to tell the AI which flaps settings to use, to no avail so far.
I'm also aware of this fact as I had to hack up my 1/72 Heller Lansen to make them extend - but no - I don't.
I had a difficult time finding really great details on the Lansen. I did get some really fine drawings from Per-Anders Wikstrom who also built a Lansen 3d model for another game. As Lexx stated, the model you currently have is based on the early ground attack version. There are differences in the interceptor - most notibly the lack of cannon-shell deflectors on the nose and in the rear near the afterburner. I will eventually get around to making those changes on the 3d model.
Lexx has been a really great help as I'm completely stupid when it comes to modding the .ini files. Thanks again for everyone helping! It is very much appreciated!
Also - I am open to suggestions as to how to make the model better. Just post it here and I'll get to it when I can.

Most Soviet aircraft with kill marks that I have seen have had red stars as the kill marks. Just use the stock kill marks, imho.

Lexx is sorting the AJ-32 Lansen FM and I've still got some things to do with it.
Will eventually change the 3D model to a B model as well.
Have a Yak-19 that needs to be skinned and has a problem with the one landing gear.
Been tinkering with the Rockwell/North American version of the FX (F-15)
My work schedule is all jacked up so I haven't had time to work on any of the above in quite a while...

Yeah the F-35 is a much easier on the eyes. The X-32 looks like the X planes from the 60's.Perhaps I'm a lost soul but to me the F-35 is ugly. At least the X-32 and X-23 had character. The F-35 looks like two playing cards stuck on a popsicle. Give me that whale-mouthed beauty any day.

The A has square ports with covers. I took the lazy way out and modeled them flat diamond shaped. <=> Like that. I know it's not perfect but in my mind it'll do.

That's one beautiful bird. Dang Veltro, you're really pumping out the models.
I picked up a 1/48 model of this bird a few years ago made by Artiplast. Crappy model but with some tlc it truned out pretty well.

The model you have is the A32A. The Interceptor only will have minor changes. Take off the fuel tank protective thingies on the lower nose and change the fuselage around the afterburner. On the real "B" the intakes were enlarged because of the increased airflow demanded by the bigger engine. I'll be honest - I can't see the difference in the research I've done so I'm going to leave the intakes alone.
Technically - the "A" model had four cannon ports with covers that retracted upon firing. I don't know how to model that so I left it alone as well... Sorry Stigler.

The thing is - all the games can be patched to the same level. SF Gold now has the same engine as Wings Over Israel thanks to the new patch. The difference is the stock aircraft - terrains and ground objects. You simply have to decide which version most interests you.
All add on aircraft will work with any version of the game. However - if you are interested in props - only patch to the 06 level. The newest patch has messed up the flight models of prop aircraft and they will have to be redone in order to work properly.
