DOO DOO HEAD! Just kidding. I think (And I agree) what many people are saying is not that payware sucks, or all mods should be freeware, but that the way we were lead (or not lead) to believe it was freeware until release is the big sucker punch.

I don't know what it is, but I find a perverse fun in flying through a wall of flak. I guess it adds that bit of immersion that would be missing without it. Although personally, I haven't found any flak scarier than that in IL-2. If one goes off 5 feet away, you know something just got screwed up. (And the tracers from AA... Whew...)

I have to say that in any sim, ground-pounding is probably the most fun/intense type of mission. Booming and zooming, or lobbing sparrows, becomes somewhat boring after a bit, but flying into a flak-infested kill zone (Especially in a prop plane) is really fun. (In game... In real life, it was probably the scariest thing to do) I'm more of a tactical fighter guy... Pure fighters or bombers is kinda dull, but being able to mix it up both in the air and on the ground is what I like.

Yeah, unfortunately, all the cockpit-makers seem to have wandered off, or are pretty busy with other projects.

Nevermind, downloaded '1946 last night. It's got all the other ones, so that's a relief. The bad news is that I installed it over my current FB+AEP+PF install, and some things are going funky. Hopefully nothing goes wrong with the reinstall (I've heard of a lot of problems with the security that comes along with the downloads...).

Is it just me or has there been a recent increase in school shootings since 2006 (At the least)? I decided not to read the news articles on CNN - I don't feel like reading yet another story on yet another shooting. 30+ dead, about 30 injured; You wonder what drives people to do these kinds of things...

Oh man, I've lost count of how many mods I have. And of course since I never expected to play MP in WoV, they're all on my main (And only) install.

I was wondering, does the digital download include all that? (I'm thinking it would, since, going by my logic, it would need the 4.06 to work, which would need 4.05, etc, right?)

I like the idea of mastering one aircraft. Also, if I should be good with WoV, then count meh in. (No IM here though - Never touched the things )
