Actually, it is kind of pretty... In the way that buttugly, obese women appear beautiful to their admirer... -
Air to Air Help!!!
Sky Captain replied to C152Flyboy's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I know what it is. It's doing this because the F-16 and F-15 starting periods are a bit after when the MiG's in the game went out of service. (Or something - That's the best way I can describe it) So, you can do some editing, but I'm feeling to tired to go into detail ATM. -
Radiation causes diharrea, didn't you know?
Sky Captain replied to Julhelm's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Better pop some lube in as well. -

I think I'm going to have a severe case of explosive diarrhea, then. *craps pants* -
Blue Mig-25 Skins

Or if you don't want to mess around with Photobucket, imageshack.us is registering-free, simple, and fast. Although Photobucket seems to have better quality. -
Bugger, I had a fairly good (for me, anyways :P) WoV profile for my Saitek, but since I've reformatted... Yeah...

Progress on the F-22
Sky Captain replied to Dasas's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Wpnssgt was supposed to have one on his to-do list, but it seems he's been gone for a bit, so I dunno how far he is into it, or if he's even started. -

Coming Soon.......
Sky Captain replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Is it just skins, or a full plane? Either way, they're awesomely gnausomely super cool. -
Yes, there's definitely variation, it's not (completely, if at all) photoshopped. The differences are subtle, but they're there. Man, I'd hate to be a tanker facing the IAF.

Auburn Tigers or the Detroit Tigers?

AIM-120 Missile
Sky Captain replied to lummet's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I think you need to change the dates of the game (or something). It's in one of the .ini files ("options", main folder, I think). But then again I haven't played in a while... And after just reformatting (all my beautiful IL2 skins... Gone...), I haven't had time to reinstall. -
I'd suggest Lock-On, Strike Fighters Project 1, Wings Over Vietnam/Europe, Falcon 4 /AF (if you have a lot of time and really like comprehensive sims).

Do-335.
Sky Captain replied to Wasgood's topic in IL-2 Series / Pacific Fighters / Cliffs of Dover: General Discussion
Try posting this over at the official forum (Pacific-fighters.com > look at the links to the forums on the left, then click on Community help), you'd probably get better help there. (Not that you won't get good help over here, but well, nevermind...) -
I was playing Battle of Britain (you know, that old one from Empire Interactive) yesterday, andjust randomly out of the blue thought about what other older games others might still play. So, what are some 'classic' flight sims (or games in general) that you play? I myself like a good bout with some Air Pirates occasionally. (I have yet to see another arcadey flight sim that's equal to Crimson Skies - Except for maybe War Hawks, but that's still to be released)

NVidia 7900 and water

If you want to see what Perfect Water looks like, just go look at the screenshots at the Pacific Fighters website. (www.Pacific-fighters.com) -
UCAV EDI (Stealth)??!!
Sky Captain replied to zero1986's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
Don't worry bud. The F-19 aurora-thingy is close enough to EDI for me. The Talon is the awesomest thing to happen since I first got this game. -
Aye, I loved it too. *sigh* There are so many old games I love(d), but with advances in technology, they've gone extinct.

Oh. Mah. Gawsh. MUST HAVE THROTTLE. (Btw, the T45 grip [last link] looks like some crazy Sci-Fi phaser... SET PHASERS TO KILL!)

Sud-Ouest Vautour WIP

Hawter than steamy plane on plane action. -
Yeah, I found that once by randomly looking around the intarnet. I almost died of a heartattack when I saw the sticks. That F-18 simulator looks hawt.

Saitek and CH Products both have nice sets of rudder pedals. Both of them are $150 (Or at least they were last time I checked).
