  1. When you installed WOE, the program should have asked whether you wanted to copy over your terrain, campaign, and objects from your existing WOV install. As for SF:P1, if you've upgraded to the latest patch you should be able to drop the Desert terrain, objects, and campaigns into WOE without a problem. Most of the modded campaigns like OTC and NATO Fighters are best employed as separate installs, though, since they tend to feature custom menus, objects, effects, and the like. If you want to conduct a single career with a pilot through a series of campaigns that are separate installs, you can manually move the pilot's record-file from install to install, dropping it into the Pilot folder of your current campaign. Also, bear in mind that certain campaigns were modded for older versions of SF:P1, and require some fiddling to set-up with the latest ThirdWire standard code. Hit the KnowledgeBase for more info -- it's a gold mine!
  2. FWIW, another reason we notch so many kills in Thirdwire games (or any combat flight sim) is because we run into bandits far more often than pilots did historically. We simply get more chances. Try playing with targeting and HUD settings on hard. Kills are more difficult, because it's tougher to see the MiGs. However, I still think it's too easy to find the bandits. Maybe that's because some of the maps are only 60% scale. Also, in campaigns like WoV, there are far too many MiGs in the order of battle, IMHO.
  3. Just installed OTC for the first time. Know it's been said before, but this is an amazing piece of work. Menus, in particular, are dead-on for the era and the context. Really add atmosphere to the game. Thanks and congratulations to all involved! (And while I'm at it, thanks to the NATO Fighters team for that mod, too. Heck, thanks to all the modders for their energy and enterprise!)

  6. Hi all, I'm working on a Second Battle of the Marne campaign for FE. Almost done. Last problem: I need to add some more airfields in the western part of the Verdun map. Now, I can get the airfields into the game. Problem is, they need to be placed on the tile properly to avoid conflicting with existing buildings and trees. What's the best tool to use for searchng the Verdun map for spots to place the airfields? Any other advice? Thanks!
