Hyperlobby is your best bet for WOV, although almost noone plays neither SFP,WOV,or WOE online. Every now and then someone sparks something, but it dies out in less than a day or 2.

Well everyone seems to be getting along, eating their apples and crackers, drinking tea, and singing along together. *sigh*... i want to join in too.

I had a blast (codename: Ryden).. and am definitely looking forward to getting more flights going, and hopefully soon being able to fly the addon a/c.

Right now would problably be too much trouble trying to start an online community as only SFP1 and WOV are supported. If Hyperlobby would pick up WOE (has anyone even tried to contact them about adding WOE to the list?) then we could start "dragging" in more people to fly the skies. Personally I would be down, but you have to rememeber we all have to have the exact same aircraft and all ini files the exact same, if I am correct?(I am just assuming, but I do believe we have to at least have the same a/c and same loadout ini) Either way if we could get this organized I would be down for some flying time.

Unless of course you work encompasses building 3-D models for in-game no matter what game it may be X-)

see but I also have a combined install of WoE/WoV and it works fine with the extended service years. Try doing it on a completely separate install of WoE and WoV (meaning not merged). if that still does NOT work then like I said something is not letting him access the options.ini file in the main directory, whether it be the OS (Vista in this case), or something within the game itself. they should just incorporate a console system like in battlefield series and Counter-strike series.

something must be disabling your game from accessing the options.ini then. It has to access the aircraft_data.ini for the plane to even be flyable in game, so for some reason the game is not allowing you to access the options.ini. Is there a .cat file that hosts the options.ini file? I wonder if that is the problem, maybe being that Vista is only reading the options from the cat file and not from the main directory. I was about to say something about the main directory but you already mentioned the ini file was there.

no thank YOU! guys for all your hardwork bringing us sweet goods like these (for those of us AC fans). hehe now that I think about it, is the F-5 going to be skinned, seeing as it was the "hero plane" at least for the first few missions in AC5? Just wondering seeing as how your name represents one of the famed fighters of the "Wardog/Razgriz" squadron?

now that the Su-27 has been made, do you think you might get around to making the blue Osean skin and maybe even a Razgriz skin for that? Thanks for all your guys hard work! (wonders if we should get an ACE COMBAT-related Campaign or group of missions going).. (maybe even get part of the countries modeled like the yuktobanian desert and such X-).. )

we will just have to see if we can get someone to model it X-).. and the Morgan from AC0 if I am correct did NOT have thrust vectoring, so we could put that on the list too!!! unfortunately the Falken is out of the question, at least for now. Especially since the cockpit is one crazy piece of work, and there hasn't been a laser made for the game.

really? I had that think pushing over 2k kts and I was still flying just fine. Man it was a blast flying at 20 ft from ground going that fast.. (of course trying to do mid-air barrel rolls and not paying attentions to nearby mountains is definitely healthy)

Try adding "ExportEndYear=2020" below the ExportStartYear. (although I don't think export really matters in that situation, but it wouldn't hurt to try). If that still does not work, then you will most likely have to reinstall. At fist I only had a few drop down years, but after adjusting the options.ini and the specific aircraft data ini. (F-15A_Data.ini, etc etc.) it fixed the problem for me. I cna't think of any other files that might affect the selectable,flyable dates for the plane you wish to choose other than those 2 ini files. I also have a merged WoV/WoE updated to the current possible update and the issue has been resolved based on what I described above. Are you sure the options.ini is not changing back to the original end year after each time you start the game?

Last time I heard the issues with Thrust Vectoring and Stealth, those 2 not being able to work or not working properly in game, has caused this plane and others that rely on this to be pushed back quite a bit.

I know, and I have already fixed it, my problem is solved. Even if you change the end year to 2020, if that individual aircraft's data has it's service year set to 1985 for example, then the drop down list will only go to 1985 and not 2020. I'm just saying if he wants his F-23 to be able to fly up to 2040, he needs to make sure both the EndYear in options.ini and the "ServiceEndYear" as I indicated are set to 2040. Otherwise he won't get the date he desires. At least that's what I had to do to get the planes to work to work towards the later years..

You know I thought of something, I was actually looking in the aircraft data.ini file, and that's why it wasn't working. I did not realize you also had to go into the options.ini to edit the end year for a/c. That would have helped ages ago. I guess herman you should go into the specific aircraft data.. or F-15A_DATA.ini (or w/e the F-15a's data ini file is).. I will give you an example using the F-15A 'Baz' by Mirage factory if I am correct. [MissionData] NationName=ISRAEL ServiceStartYear=1976 ServiceEndYear=1996<---- Change this year to your desired end year. AircraftRole=FIGHTER AircraftCapability=DAY_AND_NIGHT Availability=COMMON Exported=FALSE ExportStartYear=1976 ExportEndYear=1996 ExportAvailability=COMMON PrimaryRoles=INTERCEPT,ESCORT,SWEEP,CAP SecondaryRoles=RECON,CAS,Strike NormalMissionRadius=1151 MaxMissionRadius=1835 Ceiling=19810 MinBaseSize=MEDIUM As long as you have what USAFMTL said to have changed to 2020 or so. When you go in and edit this aircraft to the ServiceEndYear=2020, then the entire drop down dates should show up. As now I am set. Of course I had to work in reverse of what you will need to do.

Yes Most a/c are easily portable or transferrable between the 3 games, while a few have some difficulty working.

ah but see I did the same as well, like he said, I would like to see the Pre-Loadout Drop Arrow for "Date" to list from 1990-2020(etc.) While it only lists from 1990 to 94 or 2004? can't remember. The end year for some reason is not the same as the flyable dates you can choose in-game. Ex. I have the end date of the F-5E II set to 2020, yet the drop down arrow only allows me to choose a flyable date up to 1985. Now I can SEE the plane sometimes when I fly as another a/c in the year 2006 for example, I myself just cannot pilot it during that year.

Just let me pump more roids than Major Leaguers, throw me in the middle of the action, and I'll be good to go.

maybe you should just take her for a spin and drop a copy of WOE over all their heads so they get the point... or you could just drop a nice little HE package on them :-D hehehe.
