  1. "Shark Mouth" Typhoon 245 Sqd.

    "Shark Mouth" Typhoon 245 Sqd.

This Paint Scheme is based on a Typhoon scheme from 245 squadron, the exact serial No. of the plane is unknown so I have left

this blank so it can be added manually if anyone ever finds out what it was.

I have included a Marked, Roundels only and an unmarked version in this pack.

Thanks for the excellent Template by Jesters-Ink.

    History of 245 Squadron included.

  2. Sea Fury VR930 (Ki-84 Skin Hack)

I decided to make a complete skin from the ground up for a change; I have made a lot of skins before but have always used

someone else's template so this time I wanted to make the whole thing from start to finish.

Still into making "Hacked" skins so decided to try and make a "Sea Fury" out of a Ki-84 (inspired by a skin from Carts).

This skin should fit all Ki-84 models though I made it for the Ki-84b.

Internals are made from a mixture of modified "void" parts, adapted reference images and original internals by Myself.
All the rest is my own work.

Fully Marked VR930, Roundels only and Unmarked version included.

History of the "Sea Fury" is included in the "Read Me" file.

  3. Fairey Firefly Early Mk. Skinpack

    Fairey Firefly Early Mk. Skinpack

A lot of "Faked" parts had to be created for these skins - some are very subtle whereas some are slightly more obvious.
There are 20 skins in total in this pack (all historical). I could have went on to included non marked versions but felt it was too much, if anyone wants a no marked version it can be arranged (note that in game markings will not work properly on these skins as they would overlap the "faked" windows on the fuselage.

Stick this in both of your "Seafire" skin folders and you are ready to go.

Template created by "Fly By Shooter" with elements from "Jesters Ink" and Myself original template was made for the MKVIII Spitfire so I have now adapted this to fit the Seafire and added my own faked parts, panel lines and weathering to it.

Brief info on each aircraft is included.

    Regards,
    96th_Nightshifter

The Firefly was designed as a fleet reconnaissance aircraft for the UK's Royal Navy, and was derived from the Fairey Fulmar.

First flown on 22 December 1941, the first versions were delivered in March 1943 to RNAS Yeovilton.
The main version of the aircraft used during WWII was the Mk.1, which was used in all theaters of operation. Throughout its operational career, it took on increasingly more demanding roles, from fighter to anti-submarine warfare. Main variants included the F1 (with a 1,990-hp Griffon XII engine); FR1 (with an ASH radar underneath the engine); NF2 {night-fighter); Mk.IV (with new outer wing nacelles carrying fuel and an ASH scanner); the FR4, with a two-stage supercharged engine and wing root radiators in place of the earlier "chin-mounted" ones; the AS5 (with new American sonobuoys); TT5 and TT6 (target tugs); and T7 (Anti-Submarine Warfare trainer).

After WWII, the Firefly remained in service in both the UK and Australia, flying anti-ship missions off various aircraft carriers in the Korean War and serving in the ground-attack role in Malaya. In 1956, the Firefly's frontline career ended with the introduction of the Fairey Gannet.

  4. Spitfire Mk.XVI TD248 & Spitfire Mk.XIVe RN201 Skinpack

Full History of each plane included in the read me files in the download.

    Spitfire TD248

This skin is for the above mentioned aircraft and though we don't have a MKXVI Spitfire in the game the real plane closely resembles the MKIX that we do have access to so this is what I chose to use.
I finished this a while ago and something about it was really annoying to me - the real plane has a bubble canopy (which we don't have access to in the game) so after a week or so I decided to see if I could make the skin "look" like it has a bubble canopy - it turned out reasonably well so I'm now happy to share it.

This skin has been built to be used for the Mk.IX varients - it should fit them all except for the clipped wings as the lower wing roundels will get cut in half if you use it on them.
Sub note: this skin may also fit the MKVb varients (not Vc) with little difference so you may as well try it in those folders as well.

This skin was built using Fly By Shooters awesome MKVb template which I have adapted to fit the MKIX and added a few bits and bobs of my own.

    Spitfire RN201

This skin is for the above mentioned aircraft and though we don't have a MKXIVe Spitfire in the game the real plane closely resembles the MKVIII (CW version) that we do have access to so this is what I chose to use. The only real difference in how it looks physically is that the real plane has a 5 bladed prop whereas we only have the use of 4 and also the real plane (having a Griffon engine) has distinctive raised elongated bulges just above the overhead valves which I have tried to fake onto the actual skin.

Stick this in your "SpitfireMkVIIICLP" skin folder and you are ready to go - note that it will more than likely fit the standard MKVIII as well so you may as well put it in that folder too. No Markings version included.

Template created by "Fly By Shooter" with elements from "Jesters Ink" and Myself.

Note to any skinners that have ever skinned a MK.IX - think for a second how much frustration I went through to get that red line along the fuselage of the TD248 skin lol.

The only real difference in how it looks physically is that the real plane (having a Griffon engine) has distinctive raised elongated bulges just above the overhead valves which I have tried to fake onto the actual skin. The real plane also has a bubble canopy which I have also tried to fake onto the skin - it's not perfect as it's just not possible but from the right angle it works well enough.

  6. Panel Finder Extension Tool

Panel Finder Tool for use in finding small areas of skins that are causing you problems to find. A seven page tutorial is included which explains how to use both Adlabs "Panel Finder" and how to use this extension tool along with it. Note that the "Panel Finder" included was created entirely by Adlabs and the extension is the only part of this pack created by Myself (96th_Nighshifter). Happy skinning, hope this helps someone as much as it has helped me.

  7. Spitfire MK.XVI TB752

    Spitfire MK.XVI TB752
    Serial : TB752
    Markings : KH-Z

This skin is for the above mentioned aircraft and though we don't have a MKXVI Spitfire in the game I have chosen to use the MKIX as a stand in.
I have made two versions - Clipped wing and Full winged, for most accuracy (in relation to the real plane) using this skin on the clipped wing MKIXc would be best but I have included a full winged version so that it may fit the full winged IXc and also the 25lbs Spitfire (if you so desire).

This skin will also fit the IXe and no doubt Vb version (use the clipped and non clipped where appropriate) but the machine gun placement will be different on the IXe and props/machine guns/radiators will differ on the Vb but it WILL fit regardless.

Original superb Spitfire MKVb template created by "Fly by Shooter" now with various adaptions by me to fit the MKIX with panel lines etc.

    Roundels Only versions included.

Extensive history also included in the download.

(small error in the read me says 41 Squadron - should be 66 Squadron)

P.S. for any MKIX skinners out there - extremely handy how the plane has a black fuzz band where the warping usually is lol

(The No marks version will be the only one that will fit the clipped wing versions due to roundel placements on the underside of the wings).

This skin will also fit the IXc and no doubt Vb version but the machine gun placement will be different on the IXc and props/machine guns/radiators will differ on the Vb but it WILL fit regardless.

  10. Fairey Firefly Skinpack

I decided to try and make a Fairey Firefly skin after a comment about my previous Seafire skin (Seafire FR.45 LA485) saying that it reminded somebody of it.
A lot of "Faked" parts had to be created for these skins - some are very subtle whereas some are slightly more obvious.
There are 8 skins in total in this pack; 4 for each aircraft. There is the standard skins, weathered skins and there is also versions of the previous 2 without invasion stripes. I could have went on to included non marked versions but felt it was too much, if anyone wants a no marked version it could be arranged (note that in game markings will not work properly on these skins as they would overlap the "faked" windows on the fuselage.

Stick this in both of your "Seafire" skin folders and you are ready to go.

Template created by "Fly By Shooter" with elements from "Jesters Ink" and Myself original template was made for the MKVIII Spitfire so I have now adapted this to fit the Seafire and added to it.

  11. Seafire FR.45 LA485

    Seafire FR.45
    Unit: 771 NAS, FAA
    Serial: 583/LP (LA485)

Unfortunately the above is the only information I have found on this AC and had to work from a single profile picture for this paint scheme.

This skin is for the above mentioned aircraft and though we don't have a FR.45 Seafire in the game the real plane closely resembles the Seafires that we do have so this is what I chose to use. The only real difference in how it looks physically is that the real plane (having a Griffon engine) has distinctive raised elongated bulges just above the overhead valves which I have tried to fake onto the actual skin.
The tail hook is slightly different on the real plane but no amount of "fake" skinning was going to sort that out.

Stick this in both of your "Seafire" skin folders and you are ready to go.
Four versions included, Standard clean version marked and unmarked and also a marked and unmarked weathered version.

  12. Spitfire Mk.XIV Prototype JF316

    Serial #: JF316
    Model: Mk. XIV
    610 SQN JAN.44

The prototype Mk.XIV (at least this one, for there were six built) was in fact a Mk.VIII airframe, to which the R-R Griffon 65 was mated. Later prototypes reflected the new fuselage with larger vertical stabaliser and rudder.

This skin is for the above mentioned aircraft and though we don't have a MKXIV Spitfire in the game the real plane closely resembles the MKVIII that we do have access to so this is what I chose to use. The only real difference in how it looks physically is that the real plane (having a Griffon engine) has distinctive raised elongated bulges just above the overhead valves which I have tried to fake onto the actual skin.

  13. Spitfire PR Mk.XIX "Flying Spyglass" DJ0021

    Spitfire Mk.XIX 'Flying Spyglass'
    Unit: unknown
    Serial: A/Z (DJ0021)
    Reconnaissance aircraft. Spring 1945.

This is a very unusual looking Spitfire and is very obscure, in fact I have only found one profile image of this aircraft to work from and can find out very little about it from my searches - wanted to skin it for those very reasons.

This skin is for the above mentioned aircraft and though we don't have a MKXIX Spitfire in the game the real plane closely resembles the MKVIII that we do have access to so this is what I chose to use. The only real difference in how it looks physically is that the real plane (having a Griffon engine) has distinctive raised elongated bulges just above the overhead valves which I have tried to fake onto the actual skin.
Since it is a Recon Spitfire, I have also faked the cameras onto the fuselage and the underside of the airframe.
In place of the reflector gunsight I have also faked the camera controls into the cockpit which can be viewed externally.

Stick this in your "SpitfireMkVIII" skin folder and you are ready to go - note that it will fit the MKVIII Clipped Wing version as well so you may as well put it in that folder too. Three versions; "Marked","Roundels only" and "Unmarked" versions included.

This plane was originally MV293/OI-C (which I have skinned previously) but was repainted at Duxford as MV268/JE-J in 2000 - (built in 1944) painted as MV268 as a tribute to the late Johnnie Johnson.

  18. High Speed Spitfire N.17 K9834

    High speed spitfire N.17 K9834
    Serial: N.17 (K9834)

This aircraft was modified for attempt on the World's Speed Record powered by special Merlin III with + 27 lb. boost producing 2160 hp at sea level. Subsequently rebuilt to Mk.II standard and camouflaged through which the gold stripe eventually appeared.

Obviously we don't have this Mk. of Spitfire in the game, and though the MK.Vb would have been a closer resemblance, mapping problems and the fact that this is supposed to be a fast plane made me go with the MKVIII (CW). It will fit the standard MK.VIII but the wings are different on this High Speed Spit and more closely resemble a clipped wing version.

    No mark version included.
