Jesus you guys are a real joy , I ask a simple question and all I get is abuse . Why bother even answering if that's the best you can do ? As to "growing up" ,I'm 59 .

Thanks for your input mate , I wasn't complaining , merely curious because the skins that don't show are very often actually there in the skins list and sometimes Do show.

Lo all not been playing for a while but now when i do i get the message that such and such an Aces (or squadron) skin is not found and the default skin will be used instead. Any ideas please ?

Thanks again everyone , I actually found Enditall just after my original post and it seems to fit the bill quite nicely so I'll stick with that for now. FYI Stingray "squiffy" USED to mean slightly drunk but maybe those guys had their own meaning . I think its also been used to mean strange or even gay but its not a commonly used word in my experience.

FSAutostart was the one i was thinking of , Thx for all the helpful suggestions everybody , i'll check out some of the alternatives too.

Thx m8 but its a downloadable program to safely turn off selected apps. etc i'm looking for , i seem to remember it was discussed somewhere on this site but i could EASILY bee wrong with my old memory lol.

Can anyone please remind me of the name of the program used to turn off background applications or maybe point me to the relevant posts ? Thanks in advance cos i know someone will.

Wildcat , what can I say ? I can only bow to such a superior craftsman . I toyed with this skin myself as I had a model of this aircraft many years ago but I dont have a fraction of the skill it took to this. Once again I congratulate you on such amazing work.

Hey all , I just bought this about 2 weeks ago and been trying the campaign , just in easy settings ( ok I'm a wuss but I haven't had the time to really get into it yet ) and I've hit a problem. At about the sixth or seventh mission in the third chapter , and at the same point in the full campaign , the game just locks up . It's done this with 2 different pilots . I'm guessing it must be near the end of the campaign , the 1st two chapters completed fine. Anyone know if this is a game fault or do I need to re-install ? I'd be grateful for any comments. Btw if you're playing in easy settings and don't like the colour of the "God's Eye" radar screen just change the colour in Paintshop or any paint prog. I find a black screen gives good contrast . If you can't figure how to do this say the word and I'll post mine .

Hi m8 , I'm not aware of any blank skins a la Il2 , I just use the ones that come with the game ( not that I've made many skins ) but it shouldn't be too hard to make blanks.

It's a bit late in the day and I might be misunderstanding all this but it seems to me that you haven't UNZIPPED the skins to a folder before attempting to install them. Unzip 1st then search for them with the skin installer package , if you haven't already done this ofc.
