When Hollywood produced the Scooby Doo movie, that is when i knew they ran out of ideas. For the sake of the US i hope no one outside of the country watched this movie.

Was shot down by a MIG-23 after my flight went tard. Will post screenshot later. Am taking a break due to burnout and the real world intruding.

Very few losses to MIGs. SAM is the main threat and by now we can only deploy two flights. We've been doing a number of strike missions lately. That's nice since we have learned to stick around the target area for a while and engage MIGs as they are vectored to our area. Another tactic is come in a little later than other flights heading into the area, drop bombs on the target and engage MIGs that scarely have any idea that we are there since the American F-15s usually have them on the defensive. Have had two pilots make ace with a few more that have kills. I'll post their names next time. If only the squadron could be more agressive!

Just got in a few minutes ago from a meeting at work. The entire Porter department at the Hotel/Casinos here at the Nevada/Southern California border were told that their positions were being outsourced today except for a small specialized Team that does all the worst, most intense, dirtiest, sometimes near impossible jobs. I happen to be one of the 5 guys in the Team and we aren't affected in the least. I'm pretty well known in the company for my extremely profane agressive trash talking when the Teams' performance or even existence was questioned. A few times i would mention (loudly) that we were the quite simply the best in the company and anyone not with us wasn't worth a damn to do anything but the most routine tasks. So much for others looking down on Elitism!

Got word on what i'm going to be doing starting next week and also got long term intell. Looks like i'm moving to Housekeeping Dept and will be shampooing rooms and hallways as well as certain other tasks such as cleaning up after pets and the offroad crowd (we actually have an offroad short course on the property!)when they leave oil stains. Also found out from some solid sources that we are done in January as the department is being outsourced as well. I can move to another department but i'm tempted to take the severance and take a year long vacation via unemployment. I'll lose a place to live since i'm in company housing, but i'll probaly check out back East amongst friends and family. Anyways, i'm so experienced at homeless life that i consider it just another option now. Provided you have some money coming in from somewhere it can be pretty tolerable at times.

Just a little update... I've flown a number of missions since the last post but still haven't done the AARs. I'll make sure to get them and a summary tommorrow. The front seems to have stabilized and the Sovs aren't making any offensive moves. This campaign is somewhat of a drag also. As a matter of fact, i started another campaign flying a Marine A-6 and was bored to death before i even reached the target. Going Downtown would be much better but my comp can't handle it so i'm probaly getting a new one in a few months. In the meantime, i'll do what i can to get back to flying a Spad. That plane and WOV GOLD got the hooks in me and i really miss the action and uncertainty.

A really big Soviet force of Mig23s and 27s were engaged by German F-4s, US F-15 and our CF-5s. Being supplied with the American Aim 9s is really making a difference. It has radically incresed the amount of kills we are getting. If it wasn't for the crappy weather we probaly could have gotten a few more. The only sticking points were SQN LDR Bourke crashing during the fight and PLT OFF Simes getting shot down by a MIG23 just before we could go to his rescue. I hope he makes it back soon.
