The Double D's
Lt. James Cater replied to hgbn's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
That's what i thought. So far i've spent time at the Range and over West Germany getting a feel for the Thud once again. I've lined up a number of mods so it's really going to be beyond previous experiences in WOV. -

Someone correct me if i'm wrong. As far as i knew, it was January 1st for the start of all this. If there is a change, let me know because the suspense is killing me. -

Fubar, i have a question about this. I know that in (NF4)WOE i've flown over or near SA-8s that had me dead to rights and yet they didn't engage. Can your fix also apply to the first gen games? -
RAZBAM sale has started!

Just finished downloading everything. Since my comp can't handle the new generation, i'm going to go as far as i possibly can in modding and upgrading what i have now as well as picking up WOI soon and working it over. "Looks stock, soon fix that" -

I mentioned that a while ago. A week or two before would be nice for the time to declare what aircraft/campaign/mods/etc that is being used. I'm maybe one mod away from being set myself. Can't wait to get started. -
Flight meaning?
Lt. James Cater replied to Pilot94's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
You really have to be on the ball sometimes to specifically give orders to your wingman. -
This is inspired by firehawkordy's post in the "You're Not Cool" blog. Ever use things that would really upset someone in some deskbound department that absolutly insists that you have the right gear? In my Cav unit in NJ National Guard, we prefered Easy Off oven cleaner for the main gun on our tanks. Not only did it work a whole lot better than what the Army issued us, but it also left the turret with a nice lemony smell!

This almost make me feel like vomiting. I'd love to go up to that mans' area and shoot the POS that insists on the flag and pole being against the rules.

I can't wait to get this started! Just one or two minor mods and i'm ready as far as the setup goes. It feels really nice to be back in a Thud again. -

I've been second guessing myself as to going back North but since i declared it, i might as well go through with it. Sorta reminds me of facing a firing squad on a daily basis. -
The few bright spots are A-One of the ambushed officers at least managed to return fire and get a solid hit. B-The officer that nailed the guy didn't waste time with PC procedures at the moment of truth.

Sounds like a good idea. A screenie of the debrief screen should be an absolute requirement. I will also add certain details concerning the mission. -

I could have sworn i saw a pic of it some time ago but i don't know if the mod even exists or was the work just speculation. Any clues? -

OK, i still have my SAM map that i made a few years ago and so i'll deal with things as they always have been dealt with. -
I checked out a couple of reports a while ago. 4 cops at a coffe shop near the base in what was obviously a premeditated targeting. We'll probaly be seeing an increase in these occurences as more people take a "Nothing To Lose" viewpoint and commit themselves to act.

One thing i was wondering about is keeping track for non A2A action. Besides the F-105 not being tasked to engage MIGs, in WOV the Migs vanish after about 15-20 missions. Then it becomes a matter of coping and surviving against unyielding ground defenses. -
Man, that looked like a great gig!

I think that happened to me once. Now i run my gear sans internet connection, antivirus, and messenger so i don't have anything running in the background that isn't needed. Still on XP also. -

The above is what i am looking for. However, i'm still on the original WOV and so am looking to spice up a fresh install for the DiD challenge. Thanks all. -
This ought to revive the thread a bit!

I took a Thud up for the first time in ages and it was just a matter of getting back to the roots. The reason i'm in the WO* community is due to this aircraft and it is the plane that i spent the most flight hours in WOV. Man, i can't wait until we are ready to go!
