Yeah, well the cost of replacing one plane is 10-30K so a few bombs are inexpensive in comparison You can just buy bombs or rockets for one flight then have the other flights as support to slug it out with the migs. More planes mean better mutual support. Also, when selecting wingmen pay attention to the SKL column, ie. skill. If I'm correct it's the most important factor in defining the overall abilites of your wingnuts.. err.. wingmen.

I just watched Ch.5, good job. In hindsight, you should probably have taken more guys along. The game allows you to take as many as you want really as long as you have planes and pilots. Especially when using inferior hardware (Hunter without afterburner or IRMs vs MiG-17s and 19s) I try to tip the odds in my favour by bringing a lot of guys. Sometimes, all of them. Keep up the good work!

I made it using Sundowners F-4 templates. The brown one is also based on Ravenclaw excellent Luftwaffe experimental camo. I also did an air superiority pattern. I guess I should release them sometime...

Hi guys! I just downloaded the F-105 skins by DA and since he included the templates I tweaked them up some, just some minor stuff, a few seams and tweaked the color matching some. I also added more detail by superimposing the "silver" textures on top (sort of like a fake template with all the detail to add more definiton to the otherwise "flat" bits), works pretty good. DA thought I should put them up for download so I am just going to fix a few minor tidbits first then upload. If you have suggestions, put them forward now. Screenies (Tail codes are wrong, I know): EURO 1 Tweaked colors and a few seams fixed. New fuel tanks. Desert Few seams. Still need to make fuel tanks. SEA Mostly just the detailing

The F-4 family rocks my socks Also, an avid MiG fan to the core but that cockpit ergonomy.. blergh. The MiG-29 was the first that wasn't truly atrocious, and compare that to the F-16s bubble. Hmpf. Great plane, but if it just had more fuel. Runners up include: F-8 Crusader: Guns guns guns and 4 IRMs. Plus bombs, and lots fuel. Mirage 3 and 5 series. Good, solid fighters F-105 Thunderchief. Booombs. MiG-19. Just love the looks of it. And its guns.

Ah ok, didn't notice that bit, sorry. How many maps is it mapped to? This bird deserves a kick ass paintjob, and I'll gladly lend a hand! I am a bit swamped with RL stuff atm, but I could "get the ball rolling" starting out to make the textures, maybe baking some AO maps and stuff, then I can pass on the work if necessary or if my timetable gets borked again. The way I see it, by doing stuff as a community and helping each other out we can get more birds out in less time. Of course if some dedicated skin guy wants to take this one I'll step aside.

Tell you what, I will UV-unwrap this baby if you want me to, seeing as I actually enjoy the process. The model looks real nice and deserves a good paint job! PM me if interested! I am sure we can get some skinner onboard after that.

I'd like to like DCS, but I really don't. I might pick up FC3 as a last attempt, but the lack of diversity in terrains will probably make it not last long on my HD. On a sort-of unrelated note, has anyone tried Take on Helicopters? It looks sorta fun, esp since you can merge it with Arma2 now.

Looks great! So how is this different from VVS/PVO Su-34? How many polys is that?

New cockpit is also in the works, but as with all things worth waiting for, it will take a while..
