  1. That is looking really awesome Russ!
  2. Hmm yeah probably the video card. One idea, you could try to use the old Mirage F.1 with the new cockpit? If the low resolution does not bother you. Anyways, with the new Mirage F.1 we tried to match the best level of detail in the community to make it somewhat "future-proof" so it would not look dated in just a year or so. We also wanted to exceed the level of detail seen on the stock aircraft. The tradeoff is that for some users the performance will suffer...
  3. Hello Danilo, I am sorry you feel that way. We have not had a lot of complaints about the performance, could you detail your PC specifications? Our model is only 27,000 triangles all included so the poly count is really not excessive, even if not as low as stock aircraft. How is your game performance affected by other high-detail planes like the TMF F-14 or Ravenclaw's F-4s or Buccaneer?
  4. The massive drop tank is for the export MiG-25PD interceptor as well as the reccebomber/SEAD variants, and yes it will be done in due time. The camoed MiG-25 are RB/BM variants used by the USSR and later russia, and yes they will also be added. Continuing in-game testing and tweaking everything I noticed something very peculiar: I was high above Dhimar on a fighter sweep mission, I was pushing Mach 2.55 at 13k meters when my afterburners went out and I got an engine fire! I pulled the throttles to idle and dove for the deck and the fire went out, so I carried on the mission. By now however I had descended into the territory of the Hawk sam sites and got blown out of the sky. I was very surprised to see this feature in the game, certainly never happened before to me!
  5. JSF_Aggie is probably busy finishing the campaign, I wouldn't sweat it. Oh, and the standard answer in these cases is: "two weeks"
  6. Thanks Carlo! Some ingame testing, in a 1975 environment before the 4th gens arrived you can feel pretty confident on the battlefield flying this bad boy. The ability to accelerate to supersonic and climb away from anything makes up for it's lack of maneuverability, and the ECM makes a BVR joust very much in your favor.
  7. Finally got around to mapping the exhaust, now Martins modeling work really comes to it's own. Texture still WIP.
  8. Yeah thanks Svetlin, tried them out, works great! Will post ingame shots once I have coded the lights!
  9. Yeah correct. You can use the animationID=X method for other stuff too for example gear levers and stuff, anything that might have a more complex animation. Anyways, looking good!
  10. I've also started a Viggen model, I'd be willing to share it! I think it has the rough shape pretty well in place. I heard Stary had started a Viggen cockpit and I'd be willing to chip in too. As a team we could buildl this think so much faster, I keep saying this because I honestly believe it.
  11. Also wanted to show the main gear bay, hard to do ingame
  12. That is good news! Like the detail you put into the landing gear too! If you need any help with that bird I think we could have some nice synergy effects from the MiG-25.
  13. Svetlin that is exactly what I want, provided I can get just the text layer as a PNG or PSD? Wilches I think the made the canopy as small as possible because of the heat generated by the air resistance at Mach 2,5+. In the Foxbat more attention was given to Thermodynamics than Aerodynamics
  14. That is really good work Russ, and fast too! If you intend to do more Brit cockpits you certainly have your work cut out for you (Tornado, Jaguar Gr....)
  15. So any of you russian fellows could help by typing out those label texts? Ingame testing of the mighty Foxbat has begun, even though there is still a lot of stuff to do the reworked model is immediately showing it's claws!
  16. It's a bit on the backburner because of all my other projects. But I could use some beta testers tho, and if said testers could help with some INI tweaks and decals et cetera they could be full team members! *wink wink* PM me! The external model and texturing has progressed some but not super much.
  17. Hi Guys, I am back in the saddle, working on the cockpit to make all the functions work now. All the experience accumulated while building the F.1 pit with Crusader will be put to good use. I also have Starys Su-7 pit to study some functions. But I need your help, to type out the russian labels on the lights. The best way would be a PSD file with the texts in correct places but just plain text here on the forums works good too. Also, I don't know what the three big landing gear lights are saying, so a translation for that would be good too! Thanks in advance guys!
  18. According to Wikipedia and other sources, the J 21A-3 variant and A-21 were armed with underwing pylons for either eight 14,5cm rockets, two 18cm rockets or two napalm bombs. AEF.se says the following of the armnament options Translation: The A21A could carry a 600kg bomb (alternatively a 500 or 250kg) slung under the middle of the wing, in addition four 50kg bombs under the outer wing. As an alternative to bombs two 18cm rockets and (should probably be or?) and 8 14,4cm rockets be carried. http://www.aef.se/flygvapnet/Bilder/A21A%2014,5cm%20raketer%20225p.jpg Armnament manual in Swedish: http://www.aef.se/flygvapnet/PDF-dokument/Fpl_21_A3_vapeninstallation.pdf
  19. You gotta release that one Volker, ultimate Mercenary F-4E right there!
  20. Yeah the DCS MiG-21bis cockpit is a wonder to be sure, as close to photorealism as one can get I gather. But your's is looking great indeed!
  21. I do believe this has been talked about before, but I guess the model source is not avaliable? If so, in my opinion maybe a new model would be appropriate? I know, it's not something you do casually, but if some modeling guy would be interested I could try to UVmap it to the old skin in order to make use of the new skin by Enoc. I could also help with the model in general if wanted, I know there are a lot of good modelers here that are quite fast too.
