Celebration of HoB!! The great little mod Heat of Battle has reach yet another steppingstone in its voyage to full bloom. It started out as mostly a game play modification to help transform a promising game, Call of Duty, into something better and more team play related. As it reached its adolescent it became a full grown conversion with new weapons, new uniforms and maps. It has during its voyage towards maturity spawned many “firsts” in the Call of Duty realm. It was the first mod to be released, it was first to make deployable guns, and in a way that surpasses Grey Matters methods too! First to have players drop when shot in the foot, first to have gun shot out of hand. Now the next version of HoB is about to be released to the masses, this time the basis for the modification is the expansion pack to CoD, United Offensive. So apart from all the wonderful team play enhancements that we love and enjoy so much in HoB you can now expect even more! Get ready for deployable Mg’s, smoke grenades, vehicle support and much, much more. During the growth of Heat of Battle there have been two servers that has always been there, sG and MM. Both servers have always loyally been promoting the mod with total dedication. But all you loyal followers of HoB already know this. And now we get to the point! To celebrate the good times we have had on HoB, the in our humble opinion best modification ever for any game, we want all of you to come help us celebrate the version 1.01 of Heat of Battle for Vanilla CoD. This happening will take place on Saturday the 20th of January, starting at 8pm GMT at the sG server, running for 3 hours to 11pm GMT, then moving to MM for another 3 hours of fun and carnage from 11pm GMT to 2am GMT. Some of us will be there all the time, some of us some of the time. If we can’t fit on one server we use both! This is an announcment regarding the monthly Major Battle in Heat of Battle, played at -MM!!-Mikes Marauders! As you all might have seen Heat of Battle are expanding to UO. Because of that I suspect that most, if not all servers running HoB today will be running HoB:UO shortly. This means that January's version of The Major Battle might be the last on the original HoB!! And you sure don't want to miss that!! So be there or be square! The battle starts at the same time and place as always: IP 209.43.65.144:28960 also known as -MM!!- and at 9pm GMT/UTC/Zulu timezone (2200 Central European, 5pm eastern, 4pm central, 2pm pacific) and will probably rage for a long, long time! I find it amusing that this is the ninth version of Major Battle (the name is a salute to Mike at MM) and at the same time the completion of HoB:UO is coming about. So as Heat of Battle are getting ready to give birth to another version, branching out to a lot of new players, come celebrate that we where here for the entire duration of a normal pregnancy, fighting and having fun doing so in the Major Battle!!! If you are new to Heat of Battle, then this is an excellent time to come see what the fuss is all about and get a hang of the game mode and teamwork before the release on UO. Next Saturday is December second, and its the first Saturday of the month. At Mikes Marauders we have a standing tradition of celebrating this with a extended game of Heat of Battle. So come join us and participate in this event that makes boys out of men, crybabies out of boasters and winners out of newcomers. Test your skills as a teammate and have great fun while you bash, shoot, nade and capture your way to the true Christmas feeling. From the looks of it the mod will now soon be migrating to UO too, to attract a larger player base.

Hi all, new user here. If any of you guys want to get some more action out of your Call of Duty game I will suggest a little gem of a mod called Heat of Battle, www.heatofbattle.net It is teambased and are focused on a capture and hold game mode. The developers has added all new skins, new weapons (including a deployable BAR) and a new hud. It contains new maps and are a blast to play. You will need CoD 1.5 (install 1.4 first to avoid incidents with Punkbuster) and HoB 1.0 and 1.01 All files can be found at the webside above.
