    WOW thanks capun, I have been having all sorts of problems getting files to load to CA as well..... And I have IE7 as well. I will try the firefox browser later and see if it will help me as well. Thanks for info.

    Tailspin ... make sure this is un commented...AutoTrimLimit=0.0 if its not the plane is VERY hard to line up and stay right. Peter has it in all his new FMs, just un comment it and see what ya think.

    Very impressive release Peter I tend to fly german most of the time and I am VERY happy to see the albs get this treatment. They are now effective and can hold their own in a fight if flown well. I seem to feel small things that differ between the albs but I can't put a finger on what part it is really. But Thank you ... This helps alot. THe Se5 Was finally fun to fly, very easy to keep hold of and had more of what you would have expected in it... solid platform to shoot from. It does one of the best wingonvers of all the planes are far as getting a smooth arc out of it very easily. THis seems ot be a great plane to BF yo yo style since it handles that move so well. The spad is more of a handful now which I feel is better for the over all feel of all the FMs involved. The D7 and 7F both have great feel and are by far the easiest plane I think to fly in the game and get kills with.... well my fave is the Dr1 but the D7 can be flown well by a novice flier and still get some great action out of the FM you made. I did uncomment the AutoTrimLimit=0.0 . I find it to be un-nessessarly jumpy with out it on every plane. I saw you had it already there for each flier to set as they wish which was a nice of you to provide. THanks again 8) I am flying alot of these in the New Cambrai Fest campaign and its really given me a chance to lly each of the german FMs you have now in many situations and its been a great time. Keep up the good work, I will drop by later today after I fly them a bit more. :yes:
  5. Bought FE EP finally

    Hey Peter... Just my 2 cents but I feel the albs New FM still needs a bit more climb rate maybe. I dont really see the albs winning a turn fight iwth the Camels but I was thinking the drag on lift surface could be looked at? I was seeing the albs as a bit more Z and B than a camel but a bit less than the spads of its time. I agree the planes from Pre Exp pack just dont work right. I wanted ot get a new plane fest going but the fights are a bit wierd in the Per Exp. planes. One thing I found was the bombers worked ok from the per exp pack in the new FM. I didnt fly one but as AI they were doing pretty good on escorts and all. Great job on all the FMs your updating. I for one think ya for taking the time to do them all.
  6. Yes I agree to the idea totally. I will put that stamp on the small amount of items I have thrown into the modding community. Skins , terrains, campaigns and all. Count me in.
  7. Single Mission Screen

    inside your menu folder there is a file named SINGLEMISSIONSCREEN.BMP thats the main mission screen. Make sure to rename the one you want to use the same name as that. Also make sure its 1024 x 768 size and replace the one in the folder.... done
  8. This was pretty cool....

    yes I try and use the commands alot but I still find the fighters tend to do what they want alot fo the time. I am still trying to understand when I tell them to attack air do they go after what I have targetted or whats closest. At time they peel off on their own to go after something and most times if I do a rejoin it doesnt work very well. I guess im just expecting the AI to have a bit more savy than they do. One thing I see alot of is the AI will chase another AI plane and take about 10 mins to aim and get lead in them. AI attacks a human player and ping me in 1 shot dead. Now I have peters AI additions and stuff as I know they are more agressive but I dont understand why its only the humans they can get an instant kill shot off on and miss the other AI like crazy. There are just a few of these strange things im not seeing a fix for yet.

    SO far all I have been flying is the D3 but its feels pretty good so far. I did go ahead and un comment the AutoTrimLimit=0.0 so it works again. Its just to jumpy in the vertical without it for my taste. My biggest problem that makes me not play this game more is the sorry A$$ excuse for wingmen. I have no idea why it even puts them in game. The AI flies good and is agressive but as far as getting my wingmen to help in battles is just laughable. THey just all fly off to some unknown battle over seas or something. Great job on the Albs tho, they kinda ... well sucked turds in the exp pack release. I pretty much stopped flying them till you did this fix. Thank you very much for your efforts. As the campaign progresses I will try the rest of the albs out and give ya more feedback. As well I added the new alb to the Flying circus campaign im playing now so I can try it out real soon. ~S~
  10. Its a bit of a long time consuming process. Here is the basic way to get started. This is from the Cambrai targes.ini file. [TargetArea254] Name=Talmas Position=69750.00,111750.00 <-- these are the X,Y coordinates you can get from the KMD editor (see lower image) that tell the game here is the center of this target area Location=1 Alignment=FRIENDLY Target[001].Type=Church2 Target[001].Offset=-256.44,245.00 <--- These are the offsets from the central of target area from above Target[001].Heading=90 Target[002].Type=WaterTower2 Target[002].Offset=86.32,450.08<--- These are the offsets from the central of target area from above Target[002].Heading=180 Target[003].Type=WaterTower2 Target[003].Offset=-254.37,479.76<--- These are the offsets from the central of target area from above Target[003].Heading=180 Here is a pic of the KMD screen and where to look to get the x,y coordinates So get the location get the main loccation and then use the Target[001].Offset=- to tell the game how far off the main target area to place the object you want. Now when trying to place things like airplanes ar other objets it can be very time consuming so dont get to frustrated. I hope this helps some. ~S~
  11. I have been working on a few things and I wanted to tap everyone brain for ideas and infomation. I have noticed the AI is having ZERO problems keeping a target lock in clouds and the human player loses them alot. IS there a way to have the AI suffer from loss of target lock when they get a cloud between me and them? Thanks in advance for any help on this.
  12. I have a new WWICAMBRAI_TARGETS file to add a bit more realistic feel to the game. This release (more to follow) has Balloons scattered around the map by a large amount from the original release. I have added anywhere from 6-10 Balloons around the 6 major cities in the game as well as a few AAA sites in each. Every airfield will have a balloon at its corner. I wanted to make it easier to fly to and from airfields and also add to some scenery to each area. There are about 20-30 balloon recon stations that follow the front lines so at almost any point you cross no-mans land you should see at least 1 observation balloon somewhere near you. All in all there are probably around 80-100 new Balloons and AAA added, mostly balloons. Enjoy and thanks for any suggestions you may have to add to this. You need to have the 2nd expansion pack for this to work. This is ONLY the WWICAMBRAI_TARGETS file. Please back up your old targets.ini file before overwriting. Here is the download link

    Here is a map showing all the Cambrai Map Balloon sites with this version. AS you can see it is quite a few more than before and they follow the Front lines as well as cities and Airbases.
  14. Updated FMs

    SO far I have flown the german planes and they seem pretty close to a good match. I took your Alb D5a and changed it slightly for a version of the alb D4 and took the D3 ini and changed it enough to make it a D3 OAW. I think the albs were way under modeled in the FM and this helped alot. I do find the albs wanting to be nose heavy which is a bit different but not a real issue just and observation. I will try the allied planes this week and post more feedback.
  15. New Cambrai targets file

    Sorry guys my bad for not being clear about installation. I have all the.cat file extraced and I forget that everyone doesn't have them unpacked. I used the SFP1 extractor (its at this DL site) and extracted the wwicambrai_targets.ini file and did the editing to it. As has been already said it goes into your terrain\wwicambrai folder. I used everything that was already available and just added alot more balloons in areas around bridges, rivers, airfields and such. I find it very visul to have big dogfights around all the citys full of observation ballons as the fight is going on. I also have more things I am working on adding a few more ideas and additions I have read some people here in the forums talk about. I have quite a few of the balloon AAA cover sites that will be three to four AAA at each balloon and using a maching gun mod to have a few bunkers maybe near them. I wanted it st start be a dangerous move to attack a balloon site. THanks for all of you covering my butt on not adding good clear instructions on the download I will have the newer release with a week or so if no major problems happen on testing.

    Great work EmlD and the rest of the crew. The only thing I can comment on to perhaps look at is that I feel this plane is a bit over powered or something. Maybe im wrong but when you fly it against the Albs and even the Pfalz D3 it just turns on a dime like the Dr1 or something. I don't think it was quite that hot but its just some input that you might look at. Its a great plane and everything feels good but I just thought it was a bit too hot for a match between it and most of the other planes. That being said I also feel most of the planes are in need of some serious FM adjustments so maybe the enemy planes are not FM'd well and are not as responsive as they need to be. Oh well just my 2 cents.

    Pretty easy actually. Just do a 2nd install and when It asks you for the name of the INstall name it as FEEP or something different than the original install and that's all. I have 2 versions running here for now and its working fine.

    Ok I got the files you sent and I see whats wrong. I will send you an email with the explaination of what to change and the corrected code. Campaigns can be nasty to find problems in at times.

  24. Moving forward ....

    Well my 2 cents is put out the Downloads you have before you take off for a well deserved break from this FM and relax a bit. TK will probably patch soon and thats not a concern in my mind cuz it sounds like you have enuff going to give us all some fun and challenge in the game till its patched. At that point im guessing you have a handle of the FM now so after patch it should be doable to have you re do any details. Its just too hard to try and anticipate what TK might change... or how long it might be till it happens. Im sure TK has holiday issues just like the rest of us. Also the planes your doing alot to are the addon planes and TK shouldnt affect them as much as his own perhaps. Like I said .... hard to see the future so If you have invested the work I say put em out and let get to playing them 8)
