  1. Firecage Plane Fest Campaign Ver 4.1


    THIS IS FOR FE PRE EXPANSION PACK! THIS MAY NOT WORK WELL AFTER THE EXP PACK IS INSTALLED. I HAVE NOT TESTED IT YET..

     

    Firecage Plane Fest 4.0

     

     

    1st off …. Tip of the Hat to all the plane makers… thank you for the time and effort your putting in so I can have fun 

     

    This campaign has about 60 airplanes in it now. (see note above)

     

    I do all the testing on hard FM and all settings to hard. So if things don’t seem even in normal mode that’s why.

     

    All of the plane sets have been done to make room for the newest planes that the mod people have available.

     

    I have moved the start dates back to October 5th 1915 to make more room for so many early planes and still have time to enjoy and learn each one well.

     

    I have redone all the upgrade plane dates so the planes match up as closely as I can. As normal I try and balance what is available. I do my best with what I have.

     

    Bomber squads available for the RAF and Germans. (flyable)

     

    Fixed a few text entries to docs that were showing wrong versions in game.

  2. Try using the following line:

    "Upgrade[01].Date="

     

    Then put in a date such as 11/1918 for example if you want the unit to Upgrade on November 1918.

     

     

    Nope... that didn't work either. When about 7 months past when I put in the code and got an airplane that wasn't even in the list.

     

    I can't belive this isn't available. I have tried all the idea's from both here and Third wire and nothing seems to work. THe game pretty much gives you whatever plane, whenever it feels like is what im seeing.

     

    Such a shame. was really hopeful it would work...

  4. Remember that our FM is tuned for Normal mode. I see the problem only if I set my plane is autopilot at low altitude.

     

    Until Charles comes back from the beach, change this in the data ini

    Capun. I have found flying this plane you have to use the rudder correctly to get out of that inward spin problem. Is it true the AI don't use rudders and could that be some of what we are fighting?


  5. Ok i have a few planes that the gunsight is NOT in the right place.

     

    Rather than trying to remember which plane has an off sight I want to correct the placement of the sight. The one I want to change is the one where the cockpit is invisable. ALot of the planes dont have a stock gunsight in the middle so I use the invis cockpit to get an idea of where to aim with on the in cockpit view. I have 2 or 3 that the sight isin the wrong place.

  6. Well without 3d max I can't do any modeling but, I am up for the skins and such. I have the one summer enhanced terrain pack that I am touching up, There was a post today of another modder that has a hi res terrain (thats real nice) and I am getting very close on the winter terrain pack as well and I will throw all of my stuff up as available if needed.

     

    I am doing skins constantly for my own campaigns im working at. I dont have any problems I know of with any of the mod'erz that have done planes so Im sure I can get permission to skin for this project from who ever.

     

    Let me know what we need.

     

    What I need some help on is more links to pics of WWI planes so I can not only get what was there but, have a good idea of what to use on some extras so it doesnt get too repetitive.

  7. Ok I have been working over some things in the albatros data ini and I need help.

     

    I have something I really am close to liking but I need one thing, how do I make it where the rudder won't throw the alb at a90 deg sideways slide. I need to wind to resist the slide throw is what im after.

     

     

    WHich part of the fm do I need to tweak.

  8. Ok just so I am a bit more clear ... No one has made any rude comments or any nasty problems at all. I just have a lot of messages about who to watch for and who to not make mad and its just ... well I have crap at work and I get paid there at least. hahaha

     

    Im not mad at anyone just feel its too hot of an issue on alot of things right now and its best for me to not be anywhere near the explosion that I see happening lately. I understand we all have opinions I just dont want in on some of it 8)

     

    For me its 3 things the game has : 1 fun to play 2: somewhat easy to mod and screw up 3: great escape from everyday life where I can fly in behind the guy who just cut me off and fill him full of lead ... hahahahah

     

    Just enjoy the game and have some fun.


  9. Ok since there is SOOO many people freakin out about skins and not giving credit and nasty emails and etc.

     

    I know I am not that amazing on the skins but I am pulling all the skins I made off the site. Too many nasty things going on and now everytime I post a skin I get an email about not giving credit to someone somewhere so I think its just best to stop doing skins till people settle down and quit having a problem with a community that is just trying to enjoy the game.

     

    It's just become too much like a job and I feel I have to exit the skin game or hire an HR/PR depatment just to pass a few skins around. I will keep working on the terrains tiles for the winter and summer sets if anyone still wants those they will be here.

     

    This is not pointed at anyone persay just doing this before I get in the middle of some dis war somewhere.

     

    This has zero to do with CA sites they have been nothing but great and have helped in every way they could on anything I needed.

    Ok these skins are for the DR1 from Capun and crew. I just took what they had and did some weathering to them and made a (3) set. Hope that covers it.... If I missed someone then send me a msg and ill update.

    Add to your wwi/objests/aircraft/dr1 folder. all decals and numbering should be set up.

    Does anyone know if ther's going to be more Skins released for the excellent DR1 model done by the Skunkworks?

    Well I am making up a campaign and needed some extra skins to keep it looking real and I have 3 here in one zip file if you want them. They are faded and weathed skins but nice coloring.

     

    Thanks to the SPF1 A-Team for the originals I started with. :clapping:

    Try those out and see if they help you some.

    Yea you might want to look at the DR1 data file and see how they handled it. If I remember somewhere here there was an article about haveing to make 2 engine sets. one for graphics and one for the real info on the eng.

     

    I will try and see if I can hunt that article down for you.

     

    oh do we have the new FM from Tex yet? <slightly frothing at the gills for it?

     

    man I wish I had 3d max. I have an older version like 3.1 or something like that. I don't see much way to justify to myself a $3500 dollar expense for games. That's a few house payments :tomato:

  13. Yes there is. In single missions.

    I noticed what Paul Taylor had been doing with static aircraft in the SF series, and he kindly helped me with the information to pull this off in FE. I intend to post a small set of missions here soon with static aircraft at your aerodrome, and static aircraft at the enemy airfield for you to bomb and strafe. Paul's trick to turn a standard aircraft into a static one is deceptively simple. I'm sure anyone could adapt it to work for any add-on aircraft too.
