  1. Hey guys, really quick question and I hope I didn't miss the answer somewhere else- I want to add the DLC RAN and RNZAF skyhawks back into my Falklands install (which otherwise works fine). I moved the A-4G and A-4K folders from my default install into my Falklands folder but when I try to play them in "single mission" (have yet to try adding them to a campaign) the game crashes. Any ideas? Thanks. I'm working on a (highly fictional) campaign that adds an ANZAC carrier taskforce to the default British campaign.
  2. The Melbourne is still in downloads as part of the "Aussie Carrier Campaign" for WOV. It's fun, but the AI doesn't seem to like the angled flight deck. I added it to my Falklands install as a "what-if?"
  3. I'm doing a little tweaking to make my SFG campaigns a little more accurate. Given the fictional nature of these campaigns, this is naturally conjecture, but I was wondering if those who knew a little more than me could lend a hand. There seems to me to be 3 basic flavors of paint schemes during the Cold War - grey/silver, SEA camo, and NATO camo. Did only planes deployed to theater bases (ie Germany and Thailand) receive tactical schemes? I know that planes used primarily as interceptors stateside like the F-106 never received camo, but did USAF Phantoms based at home stay in Grey or did they get painted during the Vietnam era? Similarly, how often did earlier aircraft serve in Vietnam in grey/silver schemes? When was the SEA Camo introduced? I've looked around on the internet, but can't find a concrete chronology. Thanks!
  4. Forum and Google searches came up virtually empty, so I figured I'd ask, as I imagine campaign builders run into this sort of thing a lot: Does anyone know of a listing that shows the relation between squadrons and wings in the USAF? I'm trying to add the 12th or 15th TFW to the OTC campaign, but I can't find what squadrons flew for the wing in 1962. Thanks!
  5. Yup. Found that at the precise moment you posted. I still maintain having all squadrons and parent wings under one roof would be a great help if such a thing exists somewhere, but it would probably be an immense amount of work to put together as those things shuffle all the time and you'd need to do it year by year.
  6. Nevermind, found the listings for the 12th and 15th on MacDill's wikipedia article. Still would be nice to have everything in one place if such a place exists.
  7. Hi all- I have a standalone installation of WoE. I do not own WoV or SF. Is WoV necessary to play a carrier-based campaign? The reason I ask is I followed to a tee the procedure for adding carriers to a default campaign, using the 3rd party Ark Royal instead of the Coral Sea. When I attempt to fly a mission my plane is parked in the middle of the ocean - where the carrier should be but with no carrier present. I tried several other things to no avail - other 3rd party models, the Coral Sea (which is included in WoE). Nothing works, same symptoms each time. Same thing happens when attempting to use carrier-based 3rd party campaigns on 3rd party maps. To my knowledge I am not missing anything. I checked that I had everything necessary. Interestingly, though, single missions with carrier ops do work. Any ideas? I've searched several forums for answers. I have the latest patch installed. Thanks!
  8. Ah, just saw your post. I'll try that and let you know. Thanks.
  9. That appears to be it. I got the Tarawa to work, but when I simply swap in the Ark Royal it stops working. What do I need to change in the ini file?
